I can't understand what you said, so what is the point of this exercise? We know that we can put the ideal center anywhere but what is the point of these directions??

I can't understand the connection between some of gestures (like when your shoulders went up) with 6 archetypal gestures. Should we certainly use those archetypal gestures to make one?

I'm five chapters into your book and I have to say its wonderful. The narrative approach you have taken works beautifully, it's like being there in the room with all of you. Excellent work. Thank you.

In a story telling situation it’s like a monologue but you are not a character. How do you approach this with the Michael Chekhov technique? Do I imagine myself as a character telling a story. Do I imagine the audience as a certain character or characters? What is my starting point?

Hi, I wanted to say thank you for posting this video. I' m researching into the Chekhov technique and specifically, at the moment, the concept of radiating and receiving. This video was extremely helpful . Many thanks.

I saw all the other videos too, from episode 1 to 15. I transcribed them, bought your book and one from Tschechow (in german) and started now to practice with them. At the beginning I thouht what can that be: optimum position, directions in space... But know I realise how strong this exercises are. And they are even more. The metaphoric style of this...I don't wanna call it method but I havn't another word for it...method has a great wisdom in it, that is so usefull for teaching and for the life itself. I want to thank that you talk about the Tschechow method in a very calm, friendly and highly concentrated way, where every word is important. That make it a lot easier to follow. Thank you very much for everything!!!

The numbering system and nomenclature of the video's timeline, is unclear in comparison to the title and what Mr. Dixon says. The title says 5 pillars, 6 are listed however numbered to 7. Mr. Dixon's naming of the pillars does not coincide with the naming in the video timeline.

Thank you so much for this video! Body language experts have developed a whole science based on the fact that the body speaks a truth which may be very different from the words the person is saying. it seems to me that making use of the great amount of information there is on body language could be really helpful to one’s acting skills.❤

Love this concept of the ideal center, but couldn't quite get it yet... It would be wonderful if there'd be peharps some more material to elaborate on that? Thank you so much for all your teachings!

Hey ! You can read Graham's book: The master key to acting freedom. There he explains more and you can try the experience. Of course also Chekhov gives some exercises in his book. Going to the workshops is the best way to learn it. ☆

@@mg9557 Wow, thank you, I wonder if there is an online version of it. And recently I bought Chekhov in Russian. At last) I studied his technic mostly from the British and the American and had no idea how this whole terminology sound in Russian. Though I live and work in Moscow)

the book sounds great, sounds esoteric, actually it is, because it's a system that takes you to the realm of the higher self, where true creativity lives, it is YOGA for the Actor
