Based in Nottingham, England. Sharing a collection of videos on my train travels across the UK.
Hoping to share videos that others enjoy as much as me! Some of the earlier videos are a bit older and not of amazing quality but as I do more videos, they will each time be hopefully better and more interesting!!
I try to get to different locations each week with a particular love for going to Doncaster, London stations, Nuneaton and Water Orton (but any station is always of interest!). I love travelling by train, to me, it's got to be the best way to travel and see the country. Join me on my travels- any likes and comments are always welcome.so please SUBSCRIBE it means alot to me.

Excellent video. Nice one. :)
Thank you nice to be out in some sunshine for a change.
@@TrentTrains yes indeed. You're welcome. The sun was out for a while when I last did some train watching. Have a great weekend. 😀
Whats the blue train at the start?
It's the midland pullman,it's a luxury charter train.
The sooner they electrify the bloody line to Felixstowe port the better because currently the 90s have to come off at the freightliner depot so a shed can take it into the port.
For the sake of a few miles to Felixstowe it would make sense.i came in on a 755 from Peterborough, and they go on to electric at Stowmarket.the acceleration and smoothness is very impressive.the interior and view was good as well.
@@TrentTrainsI trainspot regularly at Ipswich as it's only 90 minutes from lowestoft. it's also the only place I can see the class 90's. DB have binned all theirs but I'm glad the freightliner ones still run .
Great video mate
Glad you enjoyed.
Great video 👍
Many thanks not many places better than Nuneaton for freight.
Very good video with some outstanding catches. Were the Crewe Independant lines out of use as normally most of those freights would hve bypassed the station completely.? Thanks for sharing, best regards, Colin.
You also have my sub👍
I know they've been doing work on the track at Basford Hall I don't know if that's the reason.but u can get some good captures there at mo.
The sub is greatly appreciated ty.
Nevermind
I was at that station at that day
Good video but even better if the fleet numbers could be seen or illustrated.
I usually do put the numbers on,but because the videos weren't doing as well as normal.i did strip it back to basics.👍
Nice filming, thanks for sharing 😊 it was an excellent Gala, travelling right behind the beasts 37219 “Jonty Jarvis” and D1015 “Western Champion” was awesome ! Well done to Swanage Railway, brilliant work by everyone, especially to get a service up and running on Sunday after the mishap to 50026 “Indomitable” 👍👍👍👍👍
Ty was a good one, great locos and the weather was great.👍
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah that 37, 20s 🤩🤩🤩
Great Video I Subsribed U Chanal Was There On Friday For 1 day Visit special Came From Netherlands after 2 ore 3 Loco,s Sudenley Engine Failed So Everything Came To An Stop could not much do then go back litle early to london back for my night bus to Netherlands So withoud not much footage of it i Stil Enjoy It Though Special The Weather Cheers
Thank you very much.greatly appreciated.
Do you know how it derailed
It seems that the sleepers gave way because they were rotten.but not fact.?
Heat buckled a rail and the 50 bumped off
👍 After breakfast I'll walk down to swanage Station and see what's happening.
Be careful about speculation, none of these answers are true. You need to await the RAIB report when it comes out.
Great captures.. 👍
Thank you Crewe usually delivers on some interesting stuff.
Surprising how many trains at Ely don't connect with each other.
Great video mate. Old seeing 66518 on 4L46 extend to P5 instead of P7.
Super video, like!!!
Many thanks 🙂👍
It looks like the train is going down the waterloo reading main line???
It came out the stabling point, and reversed back, not to sure where it was heading.
Thanks for a great video and for putting the numbers on screen
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Well done in poor weather
Thank you, not been out for a while, was worth it despite the wind and rain.👍
Excellent video. Nice one. 😀
Looks like a newly converted rake of JNA-Y low sided box wagons, currently undergoing conversion by Loram UK in Derby from MRA side tipping wagons.
Excellent video. Nice one. 😀
Thank you my first time at Chester.went for the Mersey rails and AW 197s.
@TrentTrains you're welcome. I was out filming today too. Saw a Railhead Treatment Train in action too. 😀
Amazing 56s
Thanks I'm glad they were running early.
i like trains
Definitely the best way to travel for me,love a train journey.
Great video, can you do more train vids ❤
Thank you your kind comment.i will doing more videos.but at the moment due to a family illness, getting out is abit of a problem.i can assure u Trent Trains will be back on the rails hopefully sooner rather than later. 👍
Great! Glad to see no safety hysteria in the shape of 'yellow line police' here, as happened at KX
Yep a few enthusiasts but less than I thought.most people were considerate not to get in each others way.nice to see a DELTIC on the ECML.
As you are clearly a rail expert "Hysteria" Really!!! I would have thought you would know standing near the edge of a platform where a train may pass at high speed is dangerous and an extremly stupid thing to do.
@@I_am_NEVER_wrong The assembled throng - and probably most 'normals' - at this station know that trains on the platform lines are anything but high speed. Yellow lines are everywhere because they have to be everywhere. Platform staff are usually very good judges of context
@@ChangesOneTim Rules are made for a reason and to prevent litigious behavior by people who THINK they know best only find they know very little. Hysteria it is not.
@@I_am_NEVER_wrong People are not breaking any rule but yes, like all safety advisories, woe betide you if you're stupid enough to get struck through inattention then claim in court that it was the railway's fault. When people's behaviour clearly is low-risk, and they're obviously focusing on the train at that platform, intervention would be hysterical. All about context.
Excellent video. Glad you got to see the Deltic Railtour. 😀
Thank you looked great when the sun came out.
@@TrentTrains you're welcome. 😀
I went yesterday!
Very good for knocking those flirts off.👍
The trains that come one after another are wonderful. I like fast trains. I have subscribed to your channel. 😄👍
Thank you very much!👍
Nice video train
Thanks Richard for liking the video and subscribing.i will check out your channel as well.👍
Well done
Thank you much appreciated.
I went to Donny from Saxilby behind a March K3 which was failed on shed and so on the return train, the A1 which was on spare duty took the 4 coach local train back. Oh for a camera to record that.
i remember going to donny for the day in the early 60s and seeing streaks flying through on fast trains then going down to donny shed 36A then going round the works over the wall at back never getting caught
Thank you Vernon for the comment. I remember when I was about 13-14 going to Doncaster with my mates and going with an adult.and he put us on his shoulders.(not at the same time).to see over fence to see the locos in the works.hsppy days.
Not a bad day out, just two thoughts. Firstly, the Freightliners seemed very lightly loaded and secondly, there seemed to be an awful lot of flats on the tanks - sometimes they wake me up when passing through at night.
Cheers Kevin they were lightly loaded.but wasn't bad for a couple of hours.hoping to get to stafford+Merseyside tomorrow.
@@TrentTrains Enjoy, I travel but don't film - did Beeston-Crewe-Holyhead on Monday followed up with Holyhead-Dublin (boat) - East Midlands (plane) on Tuesday.
Looks like I timed it perfectly and managed to tick off a trip over the route behind steam traction before the OLE's began going up.
I know exactly what tour your referring to David, that tour was the Cotton Mill Express with Alberta that run on leap day in 2020 wasn't it.
Nice to see the festival doing well, we went there in 2019 and 2022 using the Special Train last year.
Thank you Kevin for the comment.i do love the rail ale festival.theres nothing like trains and good beer.
Trains fascinate me. I once met a gent on a train journey to Scotland. Didn’t last - my choice!!
Great
Great
Great video You were lucky .. my wife and I visited London in November last year, out first time there for about 20 years. We decided to go on the cable car, so took the Underground to North Greenwich with great excitement. Walking towards the cable car, I was thinking 'not many folk here' then arriving at the terminal there was a sign saying Closed for maintenance for 3 days. Ok we should have checked online before making the special journey fom Goodge Street, but we just assumed it would be open .. moral .. don't assume things !
Thank you Brian it was a great ride with a brilliant view, the o2 is great as well.
So many test trains at Derby. Great captures
first class
Nice video. Remember going to Cardiff in the late 60s and heading off to Barry Island to check out recently withdrawn steam engines on the scrap lines. The original Warships were there as well. A silly question: why are the pantographs down on the 800 series units? Is that because you filmed it on the west side of the station, before they set off for Swansea?
For some reason most were running on diesel power.
Perhaps they’ve had their electric bill! 🫣😂
Great video mate
Yes, excellent video, making my mouth water for a visit on 9/2/23, especially new units and Castle HST's, many thanks
Thank you John. was a great day I think I saw 3 Castle sets and passed 1 at Newport.the 231s are mainly on test.but overall some very good variety of stock.👍
Another excellent video. Looks like Nuneaton is quite a freight hotspot, which is why I'll be going in early 2023 👍
Definitely one of the better stations for freight.
Where was the Tesco train from and where was it going?
Daventry to Doncaster i port. Runs virtually everyday via Tamworth and through Toton Centre. Through Chesterfield.and onwards.
I like LNER's ex Intercity Swallow style livery, it still looks just as good as the original Intercity Swallow livery.
Yes does look good.👍
@@TrentTrains I'm glad that LNER are putting their 225s back in the 1990s Intercity livery because it just feels like we've gone back in time, back to the early 1980s to 1990s again.
Nice one mate
Another excellent video my friend 👍
Thank you, not a place I'd been before.sone good freight through.
@@TrentTrains it was well worth your visit It was same for me with my 1st visit to Peterborough aka shed city
