What did i do wrong to have this gold dust left off my recommended lists
Brilliant list! Another recommendation would be Tell me it’s not true from Blood Brothers: especially for the contraltos. Her lowest note is an F3 (mezzos will struggle with this and altos might be a bit tight but for contraltos it’s a perfect low note) and her highest is C5 (might be a bit high for some contraltos but it’s lower than the majority of female songs)
You are beyond adorable in thos vid. You're saying it... But we have all thought it Our eyed also widened in reaction to the strain of the situation... The next time that song starts up and you leave the room in a huff shouting "no, nope not this time!" and retreat to a wuiet spot ehrte you play music you like on a shockingly loud volume until you havd forgotten about the happy birthday song intrusion
“I don’t know what key anymore” it’s a brilliant atonal arrangement, you just have to appreciate the artistry!! 😂
From what I read, people are asked to sing The National Anthem and they don’t get paid (thank god). It’s supposed to be an honor to be asked. Also, you can get a lot of exposure, which this tone deaf “singer” did!
she was a nominee. not the winner
That’s apparent!!
"How did you win the Grammys? Did you steal it?".
She is blowing smoke to cover for the fact she can’t sing without autotune. She probably didn’t even remember what her actual voice sounded like anymore when she agreed to do this and she is like one of those women on Facebook that have used photo filters so long, they forget that’s not what they actually look like and they see themselves in the mirror one day and think they have aged 10 years overnight
pounded against the wall, lol
She did not win Grammys. She was nominated only.
Not surprised !
Sounds like she’s doing it in every pitch from A-Z 🤣😅
just heard it was was a nightmare
I heard there was an untuned chord that Ingrid sang and it scared The Lord It doesn't qualify as music, this should ruin her It goes like this: the fifth, the fifth, the flattened fifth, Aug-minished fifth, the untrained singer without auto tuner Auto tuner, auto tuner, auto tuner, auto tu-u-u--u-ner
You what this video (and most of these comments) really proves? Theater kids can be even more cruel than high school football players who make fun of theater kids.
It sounded like she was trying to pass a kidney stone the whole time.
The tune did originally come from a British drinking song
I for one am offended 😂
The similarity is UNCANNY! How crazy! Besides Celine's being way better ;-) the fact that they're in the same key is also super sus!
Gah that's SO horrible and abysmal! The high notes almost made me feel bad for her :( :( lol
From Fergie to Ingrid. No matter who you react to for these I WILL be seated 😅
I can't wait for the live reaction to the Lempicka bootleg... lol
It just came out that she was drunk while singing this. 😬
It shows!!!
@@KevinLynchNJHow did nobody notice before she went on? Her movement, speech, etc? I know people can fake it, but she wasn’t faking the bad performance!
So what 😅
Not even in the same... Francis Scott Key, if you will.
Just how many key changes were there?
seated
I love what happens at the end . Reminds me of that moment in rose’s turn.
This is like if my small-ass christian private school did Legally Blonde
I’ll never forget the first time I ever saw Wicked onstage. I had no knowledge of the show except for Popular and One Short Day. As soon as that first chord hit and the dragon started moving I was like ohhh snap. I’ve been hooked. I’ve seen it 8 times and I still get chills. I have my concerns about the movie but I hope I don’t have a reason to be worried
Sondheim is deeply rooted in you, it's clear! AND WE LOVE THIS <3
And for Stars, until we come face to face... Oy vey.
I once had a band leader count that went "One...two...in-the-key-of-D"!! Luckily it was an easy transpose
love your videos. Did Schwartz do his own orchestrations?
Nope!!
I have been listening to this album for months now. 'Letters' and 'the Duel' are my favorites.
Gig Performer is the best PC alternative
Hell yeh! Sounds good. Nice articulation!!
Dear, Ariana said she trained really hard for the wicked film to sing the opera stuff. She said cuz Glinda is a soprano and she also is and even if she can hit it, it's a different placement in Glinda's voice. I know she will nail it
The chorus of the country song seeing red by dustin lynch sounds very similar to the chorus of style by taylor swift.
Celine Dion is a queen! Love her!
Two people on my playlist for years and I've never even noticed. But hmmm very ......
You are such a great looking man❤ love big guy
Oh wow! Hadn't heard of this before, so this was interesting to see. (also yes I tried to see if I could scan that QR code haha)
Nice.
If we are permissive of syllables i might stretch this all the way back to the Lennon-McCartney effort, Hey Jude.
The word stress and emphasis in "Hey Jude" is very different, but I see how it could be similar!
Somebody wrote a comment on Twitter that the musical Director for wicked admitted that he took that riff from Celine.
HAH I want proof, got screenshots?!
the way i've been listening to these songs for YEARS and i never realized the similarities?! they sound way too much the same so it's probably *not* a coincidence imo. especially considering céline's all by myself is still iconic to this day and was probably even more relevant around the time they were working on wicked! 👀
I could listen to Céline all day! One of my favorite vocalists!! Sad to hear she's struggling with SPS.
@@KevinLynchNJ truly one of the greatest! (and her french albums are criminally underrated btw). it's really sad about what she's going through, but if she says she will stand on a stage and sing again, then the queen will do it!
Awesome!!
