Make the most of what opportunities comes your way as you journey onto another chapter in your life. Manners and respect at all times shall serve you in good stead at all times. This year marks 40 years I graduated from this wonderful institution that moulded me into who I am today.

Congratulations to the organisers of this forum for Early Childhood Development in Barbados. This opportunity to acknowledge the critical importance of stimulating learning environments for early learners is very welcomed. Zero to five is where the foundation for lifelong learning is crafted and nutured. Kudos to all the participants ❤

I am Nigerian and a proud Priestess of the goddess of the sea. I am so happy that my fellow blacks are begining to wake up from their slumber. I went to a bible school, was the bext student , got ordained as a Reverend Minister, worked with a 57 year old chur h for 9 years but something was just not right and i was never happy until i realised that my calling is in the African traditional religion, everything makes sense now and i am now living my best life. Wake up my brothers and sisters, we have been fooled for too long.

I am saddened and so sorry these children had to go through this. I am in disbelief - No i am not! i know what this woman is capable of. This principal is a LIARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR and she covers well. I am not speaking based on emotions, i am speaking based on personal experiences. Cheryl Gill tried her best to destroy me, however, (Any weapon formed against me has to jam). She would pass me on the corridor and drop nasty comments ( a grown ass woman with such a position). To add insult to injury, she saw me at Imart Haggatt Hall and that encounter was no different, nasty remarks to me again. She is evil and wicked. She performs her evil acts and then denies them, the Lord is not sleeping. This woman encouraged the members in my department to disregard me as their supervisor. If that was not enough, when i submitted complaints to the Board or Ministry through her, they seem to never reach the relevant authorities, nonetheless, her nasty fake reports on me did. Karma has to come her way , i know first hand what she is capable of. PLEASE STOP LYING TO SAVE YOUR NAME! How do you sleep at night Cheryl? I am not one to let people treat me unkind, however the Lord kept my tongue glued in my mouth . These Christians who fly in the face of God are dealt with by someone mightier than man. I took the insults, and disrespect, that was out of character for me. A wise man told me to sprinkle salt in the corners of my classroom door and that will keep the evil spirit out. In no time she was gone. I have never met anyone so evil until 2022-2023. I had to comment i am tired of her BS and not being dealt with but if i sneeze, i am the worst teacher in Barbados.

After watching this several times, persons just trying to cover their butts. Here in the US, I have worked and still do in many arenas that require practice drills but they are not conducted this way. I conduct drills but information is given to the parties involved, the time of the event is never given because, in reality you can't schedule disasters etc.... However, it is clear in this scenario that the people that really needed to know didn't have any information to work with. Hopefully they really have learned from this debacle.

Excellent videos discussing proactive and positive ways ways for school children on how to deal with issues. Keep them coming counselors and ignore the naysayers. This a step in the right direction!

You actually feel that does work IRL , the person who conceptualized this video desperately needs to seek a psychological evaluation. You can speak most eloquently to put your point across & the ones who bothered you will continue to do so; even your own parliamentarians are 1000× worse, maybe you should speak to them about how speak and express their feelings and see if their behavior changes & do an update if you get the same results.

Mrs Bradshaw i agree you 100%. My personal opinion, the issue here is that the general public reacted emotionally (understandably) but now the bigger picture (logic) is what they are missing and the intended purpose of the exercise. A high level of confidentiality is required to ensure that simulations of this nature are not skewed due to communication leaks. This exercise was test to observe whether teachers and students can handle a event of this magnitude. To be blunt the young generation's thought process is 'different', gone are those days where children are frighten of adults; they threaten them if spoken to too harshly. Someone correct me if i am wrong, but there were intentions of metal detectors and bag searches upon entry being discussed in the not so distant past that were shut down by parents? Children come to school to learn not fight. That in itself is a control for the detection of weapons and is a step in the right direction i.e. effective crisis management. Based on all this, there are gaps in the controls (circulated email containing instructions for code Orange) but they can be closed. Now that the public has been sensitized and recognize that these things can actually happen. Both teachers and students from all schools can appreciate the need to follow protocols when these alerts are made to safeguard themselves. The reason why we do case studies at secondary and tertiary institutions is to learn from prior mistakes and open our eyes to and mentally experience the fumbles of others in order to create a better outcome. This scenario is now a case study (as rightfully stated by Mrs Bradshaw) for what went wrong at both the planning stages and also the execution of protocols by the students and teachers.

As a ministry we cannot micro manage plants... problem is the plant was not watered and was left in the hot sun when its a delicate plant that is THE CHILDREN ... I have no idea where the symphathy is but it clearly not in any of these adults towards the children. See the playbook of blame and what we have planned for these children... problem is.. these arent the children of 1980.. children feel betrayed and you all have lost their trust
