Hi everyone.
I am not an expert or a car journalist but I love everything to do with automobiles.
My goal was to give a man on the street review about some cars I never dreamed I would drive or ever be in.
so I decided to start a youtube channel which I believe is unique in that most of the cars we feature are for sale or at auction, giving anybody around the world the opportunity to find the car of their dreams while hopefully enjoying the good car content.
So I hope you enjoy the channel and stick around to see us grow.
We upload Sunday CET at 16.00

Had a blue 78' x1/9 RH Australia deliverd, fun car. Engine & Brakes would transform them.Looks great in white, Early ones could came in white in Canada, usally blue, bronze or green metalic.
Nice 👍🏾 He's updated the car even more since I did this video, New video coming soon.
That looks a LOT of fun. Well done. What a great project.
The project is not complete yet, and this car has had a lot more done👍🏾 New video coming very soon.
Wow, very lively acceleration! In most X ride alongs the car seems slow and anemic, this one is quite quick.
More videos of this car are coming to the channel with even more upgrades.
gr8 video but it's not Winter & Sport it's Winter & Standard
Thanks for the comment 👍🏾
beautiful 242, but hard to believe 400bhp on that engine setup and lh2.4 management..
Maybe it's a bit ambitious, but you never know with these guys and their cars.
You bought that from Texas
That's very possible.
So you drive around in a Tgb11 with portal axles on a normal gravel road that most Swedes will drive their family station wagon on and you call it going off road?!?
Easy tiger!!! I'm a city boy 😄😄
I owned a 59 63. Built and raced by Ole Andersson of Monterey, Calif. Mine was his former D Sedan Class race car which I modified for the street. The motor was a Mont Carlo.
Sounds like that car could be worth a bit now 🤔
@@CarsofSwedenlive I also owned 9 VOLVOS, 444, several 544s, 3 122s,1967 122 wagon.
Excellent video. The Lotus Elite is my favorite British car. My second favorite.. 1959 Fairthorpe Electron Climax.. Same motor. 21 built. I regret selling mine.
Thanks for your comment, Jeff 😊

!Disconnect battery negative first and reconnect last! always.

Hi. Really like the video. I really enjoyed the beautiful collection of Volvos your friend was nice enough to share. I am wondering, I have aquired a canadian made 1979 242 GT all original in good condition the body is great with miner rust and the interior is all original orange and black GT interior. the car even came with the original casset tape in the glove box which i still have with said car. Im curious if your friend might know maybe how much this car would be if it were in concourse condition. Thanks and look forward to seeing more videos from you. Cheers Niels Kaech
Thanks for your comment 👍🏾 These cars in Sweden, which are in first class condition, are selling for around 250.000 swedish Krona, which is roughly 30.000 Canadian. I hope this helps.
The most beautiful failure ❤
😒
Beautiful

@@CarsofSwedenlive abosolutly right, SEO means search engine optimization
Such good looking cars
He's been upgrading the car, and I will be featuring it again this summer.👍🏾
Amazing what a classic motor, truly is a beast. Loving the content of this channel fabulous work 🔥
♥️
I really enjoy the diversity of this channel. One week you feature the modest beauty of the VW beetle....and then you showcase this magnificent brute of a car! A car that cannot and refuses to be ignored. It really is aesthetically pleasing. Thank you for the introduction.
♥️
Background music? 2:21
Its from the youtube music library. Can't remember what it's called.
Nice!👌
😎
I owned a fully restored unit and sold it in 1993 when I relocated from South Africa to Paraguay. I got virtually nothing for it.
That's sad 😔 Nice ones are selling for a lot of money in 2024.
Hey dude. How much you the a 99 Jaguar worth with an blown engine. The interior an paint looks great
It's really hard to say, but I would start looking at how much an engine will cost and work out from there how much to spend on it.
11 000 euro? That's a real bargain that is.i would pay more,in fact I'm looking for a P 1800 or a P 1800 s.
We get quite a few P1800 coming through, so keep an eye on bilweb auctions and you could pick up a good deal.
The p 1800 is so beautiful, the 242 is also perfect, the motors B18 in the 1800 and B21 in the 200 series is almost the same engine one of most reliable engine's ever built. The world record for distance with the original engine is an P 1800 over a million miles.
👍🏾
How is it that a stock 900 turbo has SPG side panels?
🤔
perfect , power ???????
🙂
It's Aussie muscle. Yanks liked it so much they imported it but ruined the front end.
🇦🇺
Love the VW Beetle. My fave of all the VW's. I think the shape has really stood the test of time!
I totally agree!
@howardkahn4330 0 seconds ago cost new 2,500 dollars/////parts are not not not readily available !
Try and google VP parts they ship globally, and I do believe they might have outlets in the USA.
Gick visst inte på alla cylindrarna
Kanske
Im looking to buy one that has sat up for 3 or 4 yrs. So I'll have to change gaskets an fluids an the previous owner said blue book value is 8000 to 9000 what do you think
I'm going to guess you are from Canada, and you're speaking about dollars. That price sounds reasonable, but you have to have some wiggle room for unseen repairs. I would go into it knowing that I might have to pay another 2000 on getting it right.
@@CarsofSwedenlive no I'm from Louisiana an I told the guy I can't pay that much for a car that's not running. So I'm thinking more about paying 2000 r 2500 for it
@@regwhouwit4795 Sounds about right
Yes, but it's not a Healey, it's a Cobra !
🤔
STROSEK AND KOENIG SPECIALS are my all time favorite modified cars of the past ❤ and i am absolutely amazed by the great amount of those beautiful cars who are now roaming the streets of Japan. If there is a "community" who also loves these cars please comment 🙂
These cars are really rare in Sweden, so I've not seen any clubs as of yet.
@CarsofSwedenlive unfortunately I've never seen one in person. But if I ever get that amount of money I'm definitely going to buy a koenig specials Testarossa ❤️😎 what is your favorite car of them?
I have one, looking the same with red velour in it and it´s even one year older, so it has the flat front.
Nice 👍🏾 Going up in price every year
FreemelonsforVWlovers ! Long ago I knew a joke , what I forgot : how is it , does anybody know it ? : The traffic warden stops the owner of a VW 1600 TL , and forces him to open up the cover of the Boot ( he is looking for something ) , but it turns out him , that the car doesn't have an engine , because he finds boots in te front and back... How was the joke ? i'm a joke collector from Hungary . Thank you... 🙂Ich spreche , übrigens Deutsch , aber nicht alle . Wie andere Leute von der ganzen Welt.
😄😄
Nice "turbo" but what's up with those mudflaps???
😄😄 Need to protect that paintwork.
Black is more invisible then..
Hope to get one in a week or so !
Hope you find a nice one 👍🏾
Hej der, hvor meget koster bilen mvh René
Det var längesen. Jag komma ihåg det var mycket pengar.
Wonderful cars, i had one years ago, big regret selling it
They are worth a bit of money these days👍🏾
👍👍👍
🙂
14" rims..😅
🛞 🛞
My 59 came to me with a 289" Ford and Ford 4 speed. Splines were worn out on wire wheels and had Buick 24" rims. When you nailed the throttle engine would twist and alternator fins would break..took the hood off! Glass pack mufflers fit outside the frame..watch your feet when hot. It was a beast but was too light in the front and was squirrely on curvey mountain roads. Saw it seven years ago at the Pleasanton car show.... I owned it in the late sixties...
Sounds like a beast.
Enjoyed the video, I’ve had my 2.5si for 15 years and still look forward to driving it every time. Which car is that splitter from? Would like to get one.
Thanks for the comment 👍🏾 I didn't put the splitter on but I think he said it was from a Seat or Peugeot. Not sure what car.
I gave my '84 242 intercooled turbo a rotisserie restoration over the past few years. Now it's probably one of the cleanest (and most powerful) 242 turbos in the US. It's my pride and joy. It was my first car and I've owned it for 20+ years.
Sounds like a great 242👍🏾
I have a 2000 XK8 with 56k miles and a 1986 Porsche 911 with 100k miles. I am going to keep both for a very long time!
Nice cars and looking like a great investment 👍🏾
I think the Z4 is a great car, you can tell Chris Bangel signed off on this, it really gets your intention. I have an M version, so 35ohp and six speed manual, but I do find it quite hard to drive smoothly at low speeds. I do think an auto in these if you just want to cruise in one would be the better choice. You mentioned the SLK of the same era, well I have the 55 amg, now that is a cruiser with a nice growl... Thanks for the review, always great to see another person's take on a different spec car. Car looks great btw.
Thanks, Kevin, and nice cars you have👍🏾
I want it.
It's a bit of a beast 😊
