Also, I find it so hard to believe Moranis would be so mean spirited about O'Donnell's casting.

I never thought this was a bad movie. If anything it's probably one of the better cartoon to live action adaptations to come out. Now Viva Rock Vegas on the other hand...

he was NOT an acquired taste in the 1980's; and his show lasted 6 weeks, not less than a month; although it should not have lasted past the first episode

The only bad thing about these videos is that movies the sound the coolest aren't available anywhere, unless you do an online search in "certain" websites

Fun fact at 7:22: Buster Keaton actually broke his neck doing that stunt. As he had no idea how fast the water was going to come out of the pipe. Which result in him hitting his neck into the train track. Though he wouldn’t find out he did so until 7 years later when he had an X-Ray and the doctor asked him about it. When it happened he had a grueling headache and basically couldn’t get up for a week, and then walked it off for 7 years.

I have a nicer opinion of Spy Hard. I think it started off decently enough, not a masterpiece but not terrible. But at some point during the second half of the film, the writers act like they abruptly ran out of spy-related jokes and just start throwing stuff at the wall (including random pop culture references), and when it finally does end it's with a really lame, rushed-looking ending.

good riddance. this looks dumb. i swear you made a deal with some malevolent force to bring attention to bad movies for the sake of squeezing out even more torture unto the world, economically. like a recycling crew using old garbage as if the world NEEDS to have more garbage. in other words, leave this garbage in the past seriously.

Speaking of Jeff Zucker; the 2010 Tonight Show with Conan would make great fodder for a video essay. Plus I’d just love to get your opinion on it as well as a great video retrospective. Or even Conan career in general

I think Jason Alexander is also a very underrated dramatic actor. He had a role as bad alien in Voyager as well as. A really creepy cult leader in CSI

I saw this movie in the cinema and I remember feeling much more empathy for Mr Wilson than for Dennis. I think I disliked Dennis. I believe one of the issues with this movie is the same as the issue with the Home Alone reboot from a few years ago - the character being tormented is a sympathetic character who doesn't deserve what's happening to them. I'm glad that you have fond memories of this movie and that you've shared your perspective and the story of the movie's creation.

The thing about these movies is, you know what you’re going to get. It’s a style of movie that’s pretty much dead, but for a while they were worth watching. Spoof movies were hilarious especially if you grew up understanding all the little minute jokes you just wouldn’t understand otherwise. Some of the jokes also reference sports world news even commercials from the time period. I honestly could t imagine anyone enjoying these dated movies today without someone explaining every little joke.
