Prime 2 and 3 when?
It has been pointed out, but the Metroids flanking Sylux could be Mochtroids. The single nuclei vs three or more and alliance with the Space Pirates seem to make that plausible
Yeah, I just didn’t notice at first. That also makes way more sense considering how Sylux was seen (presumably) stealing an infant Metroid at the end of Federation Force. Probably tried cloning them soon afterwards.

To me, Metroid Prime itself never felt like the thing that defined the Prime series. Like, I always got the sense that the boss was named after the game itself, rather than the games being named after the boss. Plus, I feel like calling it something other than Prime might confuse some newer fans into not realizing that it was still Prime 4, which could kill some of the hype that came from the game being talked about for so many years before the official trailer.
4:20 I think you got the roles reversed. A bounty hunter hunts bounties that have been set by the law, therefore she is a private contractor who works within the framework of law. A mercenary is a hired sword. The space pirates are pirates, and she would be a privateer.

Would have been nice if you've dwelve a little more on what is Metroid Prime and its origin. I understand its a very controversial debate in the metroid fan base as nobody is sure what his origin are. Was he a metroid born on Tallon IV and grabed by the leviathan to make it its guardian? But Tallon IV had no metroid, since they were created and nursed on SDR. Was he a metroid brought in by the space pirate and escaped their facilitied before being turned horribly by the phazon? If so, how did he escape and got into the crater if its locked? How did the leviathan didn't die in the years following its arrival on Tallon without choosing a guardian to take over the corruption if Prime was brought up years later by the pirates? Was it a metroid or something else entirely coming directly from Phaaze, knowing samus encounter exosqueleton similar to Prime on Phaaze? If so, how did a Metroid get into Phaaze in the first place? Also would have been great if you talked about the various version of Prime and the pirates log differences from the Japan and NA version. In Japan, the pirates log mention they encountered Prime and started testing on him before he escaped and returned to the crater, robbing the pirates of technological weaponery which he uses against Samus. In the NA, the weapon robering is not mention but they do speak about encountering Prime. So much question and unanswered questions which I feel would have been great for you to adress!

Fans put way more thought and energy into the timelines than Nintendo themselves do. Even tho some games in the series are directly connected, for me it’s more enjoyable just taking each game as its own isolated experience with a different version of Link, Zelda and Ganon. Even TOTK which is technically a direct sequel you can pretend BOTW never existed and TOTK still works fine as its own isolated experience.

Soooo stoked. My only company with Link's Awakening was the traversal was kind of awkward and confusing. I do realize however that's how the Gameboy game was. I just hope this new installment is easier to navigate. I'm sure it will be great. I love puzzles so September can't come soon enough.

Kind of a let down. On one hand I'm glad we finally get a Zelda game where you play _as Zelda,_ on the other it's cutesy and not the fun nerd from Breath of the Wild.

I really like the theory about Silux being Samus's long lost brother. If that is actually true, i cant wait to see how they interact. If im being honest, I would be a bit disappointed if Silux gets the Dark Samus treatment in which you fight a few times before a final standoff. It blew my mind seeing Samus speak in Dread so this would easily be something she would talk for. I cant wait to see where this goes!
I would have loved to play Windwaker remastermke on Switch, but i’m very happy with how Echoes of Wisdom looks (both visually and gameplay). Seems to me they made all the right choices there, I agree, Link’s Awakening on Switch was a great game.

Personally I’m disappointed that we didn’t get the announcement of Oracle of Seasons and Ages being remade on Switch but this is the second best thing to it!
They still need to do that eventually to keep this artstyle alive in the future.

Don't care about the "timeline"! For me Zelda games are a type of style. I say give the creators of this franchise all the freedom they need to make great games and to not be shackled to the limiting demands of people who live in a box... 😅
I don’t think we’ll see MP2 and MP3 anytime soon. It will be Nintendo’s next console in late 2025, then on the console after that there will be a Prime trilogy.

Love this. These are ny favorite games. Gamecube metroid prime is the best game ever made imo. Of course prime 2, prime3 and even prime hunters are on a similar level of excellence. I was quite annoyed we got federation force on 3ds and not a remake of DS prime hunters with more competent hardware and bigger areas
Check out the shadows of Link and Zelda! I'd say Link is playable. Why? Because of shadows! Take a look at Link's shadow: in an obvious cutscene moment when he dispatches 3 darknuts with a spin - it is a normal shadow. In the battle with Ganon - it's a circle. Zelda's shadow is also a circle while in a gameplay. However, in cutscenes (BOTW-like opening and when soldiers bow to her) it is a normal shadow. Similarly, NPCs have normal shadows as well. I think they made it a circle for us to easier see where the character lands after jumping. So I think Link is playable during the Ganon fight, which likely means he'll be playable again later in the game (final battle after Zelda saves him, perhaps).
"spiritual successor" to links awakening???? why? just because of the art? thats not what "spiritual successor" means... that phase is used to describe gameplay since it is usually applied to games that have an entirely different license and cannot legally have the same art. the gameplay is entirely different in this compared to links awakening. the oracles games are "spiritual successors" to links awakening...
Oracle games are just sequels. It's the same Link.
