What size wood did you use to lift the body- Is that a 4x4 ?
Welcome back Doug ❤❤❤❤❤
Ayyyyy Doug is back!!
Mine are in a box in the garage. One day they will be installed. Super high quality stuff! Thanks for providing great performance parts for these old mustangs!
Right on! Can't wait to see them on your Mustang!!
1962 . Six-duce
I wish mine was this easy..all 4 on the firewall/floor just spin..having a hell of a time getting these out.
I have a 1974 pontiac custom gto. I upgraded all linkage to new oem. I changed upper and lower arms to qa1 tube arms. I also have 2 inch drop spindals as well. What kit would i need?
What about tall drop spindles ? Can you go 2 inches or more lower?
So what if you have theese and a tall 2 inch drop spindle ?
Thank you !!!!
Will this tool work for the stock style bushings? Two "half" bushings coming in from each side.
I wonder if this method works on Moroso racing coil springs on an old 69 nova. As the front has become lighter, the front has risen quite a bit.
Watched again for the second time, one day I'll get back to work on my car. I've got a load of GW parts.. thanks for the great parts and videos
Thank you for the continued support!
Teflon tape is a no no on a hydraulic circuit. especially when put on the fitting backwards.
Do you still sell these the link you posted is dead
Give us a call at 1(877)470-2975 and we will help you out!
ill just weld the air bag plate over the coil over plate
Looks to be the same as the G body, I’m in market for tubular arms and V coil overs Thank you for a great video
Yes sir, the process is the same.
What about lining it back up plumb?
Do these come in chrome yet ?
Negative, and never will. you can order them "raw" and get them plated if you'd like. Give us a call at 1(877)470-2975
This should be the go to video for everyone working on lowing an OBS dually! Thanks for explaining this in a clear and no B.S. manner!
Old video...but it's the best and simplest explanation for cutting coils...
One of the most viewed videos we have. This one helps a lot of people out!
Great video ty
I believe the 120 ft/lbs of torque for the body bolt is way too much. I don't think it should be more than 70-90. I set mine to 120 and broke the nut free in the body.
Dirt track???
Sure can! Would help keep the tires planted.
Any exhaust clearance issues on the crossmember with 3” factory style exhaust on a 70 chevelle?
We have no issues with 2.5" exhaust and have seen many 3" factory style exhaust fit, however not every manufactures kit fits the same.
@@GlobalWestSuspension Thank you! I will be buying your kit! 😎
Can you use this kit with the original gear box or some other “brand” gear box?
Unfortunately this is a negative. This kit is designed for the Borgeson steering boxes.
@@GlobalWestSuspension I was asking because I read that the Borgeson pump doesn’t clear the radiator and I would have to replace the radiator which I just did. I have a 1963 Impala. Thanks for your reply 🙏
@@DJMOZART100 I do apologize, that was a solution for the sway bar bumping into the radiator not the steering box.
@@DJMOZART100 What brand of radiator do you have?
@@GlobalWestSuspension so you’re saying I would have to replace the radiator with this kit? I would really like to order this kit but I don’t want to replace my radiator again just spent $600 on that. Thanks again!
This video told me absolutely nothing as to which kit i would need.
Was not meant to give you that info. This video is to let you know we have a kit without the sway bar, just in case you already own an aftermarket sway bar that places its position under the radiator. The other two videos in the description, as Doug mentions at the end, will tell you more info about the kits and give you a better idea on which one you may want. If you have more questions, give our tech line a call at 1(877)470-2975 and they will be more than happy to walk you through what you may need.
@GlobalWestSuspension I will look into it, but was hoping to go with an electric rack & pinion. Just stumbled onto this video. Been looking at Flaming River and others.
@@TTGTO288 There are tons of great brands out there. Thank you for taking the time to watch and consider our products!
Mine would not slide it.. I can't even get them in...
Don't forget to get an alignment after setting your ride height
Yes very true! If you need our alignment specs, they are on our website. WWW.Globalwest.net
What are the torque specs for the first 4 2:25
The 5/8 bolts are 100ft pounds and the radiator core support bolts are 70ft pounds.
nice video i have an idea how to cut my np300 spring
Thank you for your support.
The car is a 71 Camaro. When I bought it, the front hood corners were uneven with the fenders. The frame was probably twisted. It looked bad. I used a set of your solid mounts and was able to adjust the thickness of the front mounts to get the hood and fenders even. I also used 1/8 inch shims on all of the mounts to get a little extra clearance from the hood to the air filter. The engine is a LS with a carb style intake and a dual snorkel Z28 air filter. I now have 5/8 inch clearance.
Right on! Thank you for sharing! Sounds like you used the product efficiently and knew what you were doing to create the hood clearance.

When running tubular an arms do I need to add the stock spacers back in?
To get the most accurate answers, give our tech line a call at 1(877)470-2975 and they will help you out.
What are the lengths coilovers and the springs?
I unfortunately don't remember what coilovers these were exactly. We carry a variety of coilovers for american muscle cars from the mid 1950s to the late 2000s. Give us a call at 1(877)470-2975 and let's see if we can help you out!
What company will cut down the tube for me
Socal? If so, J&m speed in Huntington beach. If you are else where, maybe try moser.
Do you assemble entire frames with these kits? Like if I sent my frame?
Give us a call at 1(877)470-2975 and ask for Doug, that you are inquiring about an A-Body frame and the KT kit.

No anti-seize?
We don't want a mess while shipping, so we leave the stickers (either on the bolt holes or next to the adjusters for easy visual) that tell you to add Anti-seize. Most definitely add that when you install any type of coilover!!
Thanks Doug, Your video is the best instruction with out the car being apart.
Thank you for the support!
I have a 72 chevelle with 2” drop spindles and stock A arms, tubes to come at a later time. Now would I need these offset shaft and the steering knuckle arms to help my bad bump steer? I know I need an alignment but should I use these or just get a simple alignment for just street driving?
We try to stay away from drop spindles. They mess with the geometry of your suspension. Give our tech line a call in the Am (hours of op. 8am-4pm Pst) and chat it up with our tech/sales line. We can get you going down the road, as straight as an arrow, like a modern day car. 1(877)470-2975
Half-assed junk. Don't waste your money.
Sorry you feel that way. However, nothing here is "half-assed" We have a great team of quality control, cnc programmers, and welders that keep this company going. Who we truly appreciate. We even give a limited lifetime warranty on some of our products to back up our word. Reach out via phone call if you need anything or any help. Leaving a inaccurate comment doesn't really help anyone.
Hi, I need a front and rear lift max. 1 Inch for a 2008 Jeep Cherokee/Liberty KK. Did you can give me an a tip and send a tip and did you ship to Germany? Thank`s Mark
Unfortunately we do not make anything for Jeeps.
Why no Ford's ? :( So I take it you can't run a Panhard rod with theses? I like your videos and can see you still have your hands on the tools , good one
We do make these for fords too, you'll have to call in (1(877)470-2975) and ask for more info as I am just a social media specialist who is limited on info (I am learning more and more though!) And Doug, the man in the video, he is still tinkering and wrenching for his own projects, for our "how to" videos, and for our research and development.
Will those upper control arms work with coilovers?
Unfortunately they would not, you would need the arms from our COMNR kit that do not have the holes for the spring saddle.
Those holes and their mount blocks on the arm get in the way.
@@GlobalWestSuspension I'm not sure what holes you speak of. The lower part of the coilover has a bar pin that mounts to the control arm. Here is the Viking coilover part for reference 6470COK-2A450.
@@jpmendoza138 sounds like this is something you have already started to do. Give our tech line a call at 1(877)470-2975 and we will help you out with what you need. Hours 8am-5pm PST
Curious on the difference between the 70-73 and 74-81 because I'm doing a conversion of a 74 to a 70 front and back end. From my understanding, these mounts will lower the center of gravity as it pulls the shell and frame closer together, meaning potentially clearance issues. So my understanding is that even fender alignment issues are possible since they are bolted to the radiator core support?
Yes, there could be clearing issues with the fenders as it comes down with the radiator support.
Can these be installed with the body on?
Yes sir. We used this display for visual purposes.
@@GlobalWestSuspension. Thank you!
Yeah my 63 impala (no PS) doesn't seem to have a "bump steer" problem, but it wanders all over the road, even perfectly straight and smooth roads. I believe it to be wear in the steering gear box. Recently had it aligned, tech said everything was ok but still it wanders. Maybe you have ideas based on your experience. Wish I was local but I'm way over in the Southeast.
Give our tech line a call at 1(877)470-2975 and we can totally help you out.
They also will lower the vehicle 2" which they dont tell you . Spohn is same way.
why not make a kit to replace the spacer/shims like on the chevy novas? many of those cars end up with them lost or broken.
We do make these for 68-72 Nova and 75-79.
I’m talking about the spacers. Like on the 68-72 novas the mounts at the firewall have a 1/2” spacer. Those usually get lost or broken. In this video you say to reuse them. I know it’s easy enough to make or purchase something to replace them but why not just offer them in a kit. I know of only 1 company that does.
