Does the center filter (RO Membrane) ever get changed? Also does the sequence of the two filters on each side matter? In other words, can the odor filter go in the carbon slot and the carbon filter go in the odor slot?
The instructions on the bag the cartridges come in say to fill the cartridges with water before installing. You did not mention that and just bled the air out instead. OK either way?
Where can I purchase the replacement cartridges? I do not see an option to purchase any of these online....only through a dealer? That's ridiculous
Thanks for the clear directions. I turned off the water hose as instructed and proceed to twist off the first filter. Water sprayed everywhere. I had to have my wife run down stairs to turn off the water. I literally had an inch of water on my kitchen floor. Cleaning up took 10 as long gone as putting these stupid filters on.
What about the PDA's from the plastic hoses???

How do you know if your filters need changing? Is there and indicator showing you they need changing?
+deltafour1212 We'll have to make a video on that! The K5 Drinking Water System has a blue indicator on the top of the filter housing. When that blue indicator is no longer visible then the filter has reached the end of it's life. In most cases the filter stops producing water. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
