It’s hard to believe you’re a “punk rock” anything. Punk challenged the norms and it’s what appealed to us. You spent so much time complaining about its length that you missed the entire point and premise behind it. I’d encourage you to pull up the lyrics and listen to it again, don’t just hear it.

This is definitely a different side effects. He was experimenting with more ambient soundscapes. Some of the stuff is kind of shocking it makes you uncomfortable but honestly, I think it’s really good for a shitty microphone and a kid that’s probably gonna be 16 years old makin it at the time

Rancid 2000 is absolutely my least favorite as well. It is challenging for me to even get thru and just isnt what Rancid IS. I don’t ever wanna hate on Makonnen because Gus loved him, but his vocals just made this album a bit difficult for me. You should check out Prove My Love. I think it’s just a really cute song. There’s a version on this album with Makonnen but dude is just kinda wailing in the background. There’s also an older version with just Peep that I think is amazing. You could do a comparison

I was stupid or desperate enough to buy one from Turntablelabs and just got it today. Disappointing. 60 dollars and ate all the blank tapes I just bought. Warbled audio and recording and not just a little antique sounding but completely warbled and annoying. Debating if I should even bother with returning it or just tossing it in the trash. Really saving the planet now with all the outdated, 2 month old iphones and garbage like this! No quality, just quick money making boomer concoctions. Seriously, it's like they got rid of all the coffee makers and gave us keurigs instead! And on purpose! All "connected!" No fucking thanks. Then wanna charge you to not come in between you and your music with some ads and more streaming dependent, phone needs milk more often than a baby, harassment.
