Having primarily listened to fantasy the best sci-fi book I’ve listened to is lite sci-fi with the tech, but “Tiger Chair” by Max Brooks. Damn it hits hard. For fantasy it’s tough. I’ve listened to some that I enjoyed like “Can’t Spell Treason without Tea” as well as the Legends & Lattes books. Tough to choose between them. And the Forever Fantasy Online series (first two books) were good. The second was an improvement.

Silverblood promise was the disappointment of the year for me. I was so hyped for this book, but in the end it had a lot of flaws that kinda ruined the really good Ideas. It was not a bad book, but just not what I hoped it would be. Lukan is just to stupid sometimes, but does not get punished for it. That felt a bit cheap. Also you could tell that this is a debut, the auther often made some dialogues that were obvious info-dumbs. so basically a lot telling instead of showing. Overall it was ok, I will read book 2 and I'm looking forward to the worldbuilding we will get there.
