It may only be 60-70lbs lighter on paper but it feels 100+ lbs lighter on and off road and way more power all over. It’s only negative is valve checks are not as easy as the old 411.

@@alexjohnson3696 I have one inch risers on the Versys and IMS super stock pegs and standing on it is pretty comfortable. The stock seat on the Versys is god awful though. Probably the worst stock seat I’ve ever sat on. I changed it out to a seat concepts which might be a little narrower at the front which helps with standing.

Very spectacular GS4 locomotive models from BLI, both of these models are incredible but I personally like the SP 4438 because of the black/ silver paint scheme which I really find attractive on the SP GS class 4-8-4 engines. If I decide to purchase any of these BLI GS4 models later on then I will purchase a locomotive with the black/ silver paint scheme as that scheme is unique among the SP GS series locomotives.

So I'm interested in building something very similar. Using the 140g or the 140 RF either one. And wanting to go with USD forks. But I want to actually add suspension travel in the process. Giving me full 12 in travel like a normal Motocross fork. Modifying the rear to do the same would be very simple. I'm wondering if that would have been a done deal if you had not added bump stops. Or is the forks just simply too short for 21-in front wheel that you used?

Very impressive and handsome models of the SP GS4 type locomotives, these BLI models of the GS4 are the best models of the type currently available in ho scale and they have a nice variety of paint schemes. When I finally save up enough money 💰💰 for myself I will decide to purchase a GS4 model detailed in the black/ silver paint scheme such as the locomotive in this video. I always liked the SP GS series 4-8-4 engines in the black/ silver paint scheme as that scheme is very attractive to me as a contrast to the more popular "daylight" paint scheme, very enjoyable video- Tom.

With 5" of travel and a certain percentage of that used on sag you don't have to hit a very large bump and the suspension bottoms out even at slower speeds or you have it set stiff enough to not bottom out and your ride is harsh. 5" just isn't much to work with.

Yessir. These really are good bang for ya buck. I have, I think,6 BBs. 4 of them are Rivarossi. They are not all new, but they all have the motor in the boiler as opposed to the old version with the motor in the cab. These models run really well on DC, so converting them to DCC with a decent decoder, is even better. The only problem with the 90s runs, is they have a poor electrical pickup ( pickups on only 4 drivers) & are prone to failure, which seriously affects its running ability. I do have a later run ( about 4-5 years old ) model that has the upgraded pickups on all drivers. Why they didnt produce a tender pickup system, like the upgraded FEF3, beats me. I put a TCS WOW in one of the older models, & am still blown away with the smooth slow speed control.I never run my locos at more than about 40mph, so slow speed is a must. I think you ended up using the Tsunami 2 & that does run well at ss 1. Thankyou for a look at your loco demo running so well...Cheers Michael NZ
