  Sorry, just another comment: as we disable standard scoring, when a player crosses the finish line nothing happens, the event keeps runing. Therefore I added a new rule 'Check if Player finished': basically, when a Checkpoint is passed, if 'Checkpoint ID number' is '0' I finish the triggering player (finish line is a checkpoint with ID=0).

  I'm very late, but I would like to thank you for creating and sharing this great tutorial. Just a comment on the order of the penalty rules: if the player's score is between 5000 and 10000, both the penalty rule for player score >= 5000 and the penalty rule for player score < 5000 execute the Subtract action. This is because the rules are executed in sequence and both rules meet the conditions. For example: if the player's score is 7000 and there is a collision with environment, the first rule subtracts 5000 and sets the score to 2000, then the second rule sets the score to 0. So the the result is 7000 penalty for the collision. The way to fix it is to place each 'penalty rule for player score < 5000' before its corresponding 'penalty rule for player score >= 5000'. This affects these three pairs of penalty rules: Collision with environment, Collision with player, and Penalty for Cactus.

  the heist is freaking badass, first time playing know damn well V and jackie are so beyond fucked shooting through such amazing looking high end interiors as it crumbles and sparks with gun fire, bodies getting disremembered, huffing inhalants to keep u going through the pain. first time playing i literally paused the game started laughing and said "holy shit this is so fucking badass" XD
