Whats model of solid combustion blower plate?
Hello Harman! I have run my p35i trouble free since the fall of 2012. It is now March 2024. Never had a problem, never replaced a part. That is one great stove. Keep it clean and it might run forever! Thank you!
We desl with CHIPS STOVES OUT OF APPOLO PA
Very helpful demonstration, thanks!
What if I don't have an existing fireplace?? Is it much more expensive to add one?? Looks great
The 500 dollar pad should come with the stove. Very disappointed that I had to purchase the pad made for the absolute 43 separate. And now I have to wait over 2 weeks for it to arrive so I can't install my stove until then
any videos on how to replace the auger motor for an insert harman p35i?
how do replace the auger motor?
why is the background music so loud?????????????????????????????????????
i have a lot of problems ... my dealer can't not help me ... what can i do ... when i started to burn the fire there is a strong smell
I so want one of these right now.
$6000 for this thing? Forget it. Lowes has a Comfortbilt for $2500 @ 50000BTU and I'll bet it has the same components in it.
It would have been SO HELPFUL if for every item they are moving to clean (or moving in/out of the insert), they show us CONTEXT first with a wider view, THEN go in closer. EG, near the end of this video they show how to clean the feeder chamber (~6:52 mark) but you CANNOT TELL from looking at the video WHERE they ARE on the stove! (I STILL don't know where it is -- the service guy cleans it at the annual cleaning where they pull out the whole thing.) And as others have said, getting the side panels and medallion off is WAY harder than they show, especially the first few times you do it. I love how the person in the video clearly GOT STUCK taking the right one off (~5:08 mark) so they faded out and edited and the next thing we know, it's coming out. :( I have cleaned my insert so many times now that I am MUCH better at it now, but getting the side panels and medallion back on is STILL a pain. I have to lie down on the floor and look UP so I can see what I'm doing!
I just bought a house with one of these in the basement. There is no control panel that I can find. There isnt some hidden door it could be hiding in, could there?
Harman may have updated the heat exchanger panel design. I did a full cleaning on a 2023 model today and installing / removing the medallion and panels took about 5 minutes. Did take a second to figure out how to reinstall (first time doing this) but after that the process was as easy as the video makes it seem. Definitely not something you should be afraid of trying on your own, just take your time and take photos of how everything looks before you remove the panels for the first time.
Love that stone work for the fireplace. Wish mine was like that. Too much work to re face. Just got this insert and super happy with it so far. I'm burning so much less fuel than my last unit and it regulates the temp in my house so much better. Still not into the coldest part of winter yet but I don't doubt the stove to be super effective during those extra cold nights.
I have the larger version of this stove. It is my 3rd Hartman stove. They were all great stoves but this in is the best. Easy to clean and it like all the others I have has is an awesome stove.
They didn't tell us any of the specifications of the stove.
The heat exchangers are difficult to remove and reinstall. This video is less than informative on how to remove/install them. Clearly edited. The right side was the more difficult exchanger to remove for me and it got jammed when I attempted to install it. Eventually I unjammed it and installed. Poorly designed in my opinion for this particular operation that is recommended for monthly maintenance. Folks that are not mechanically inclined or short on patience may want to reconsider doing the job..
Just bought a pre-owned older P38 for my garage. Came with the updated control board, battery backup inverter, and the extended hopper. I’m very impressed how much heat this little stove puts out. Harman quality for sure!
We bought a P61A in 2018 and it's way too loud for our living situation. I'll check the Absolute out but I'm not getting my hopes up. Not really excited about spending another 5 grand on top of the 5 grand we already spent. What baffles me is that there is technology available to construct silent fans and motors. Way isn't it available to quiet down my P61A? I'd spend money to silence my stove. I've been checking around for a couple of years and come up empty. My other option is a Rinnai gas heater but I'm not that crazy about propane. But I do like quiet.
One thing I've loved about my Harman Accentra (free standing), is how relatively quiet it is compared to other Harman stoves I've "heard". Not sure if it has to do with the cylindrical shaped distribution fan, but the operational sound has always been very tolerable. And I can adjust the fan speed, giving me full control of the audible level. And it also helps that it's in the room next to my TV room, so it's not right in my ear. Oh, and I think my stove is around 10 years old.
@@peterpulpitpounder I've heard others say the same. Went to the local dealer and checked out new Accentras and the fan motors seem quite and the fact that you can adjust the speed manually is huge. I'm just gun-shy after spent around 5K a couple of years ago. Not that excited about spending another 5k to get what I wanted in the 1st place.
You got that right on spending more. Do you think its just the nature of the beast, in terms of noise? I was just at a friends house yesterday, and I think they have your model stove, and it was a bit noisier than mine. It must be due to the long, cylindrical fan style of the freestanding Accentra I have, which, I think, they no longer make. I wonder if a new fan might help? @@mikekemsley1531
My Advance does have those plates, seems to be just one solid one that’s welded into place. I can’t access the heat exchanger.
Way too expensive, in my opinion. $5,000+ Yikes! I'll stick with my Harman Accentra for now, although it is at least 10+ years old.
Priced heating systems lately? Go buy a remote furnace. That will empty you savings account.
You are probably right. My point was that I'd "like" to upgrade, but I'll stick with my older Accentra for now. :) @@mikekemsley1531
Harman stoves are not worth the money. There are a lot of less expensive choices. They all need service and repairs, even Harmans. They just charge more for everything.
Well, I have to disagree with you. My Harman Accentra has been bullet proof for 10+ years, and it is a far superior stove to the junk units sold at Home Depot, etc. It runs quiet and the original auger and motor are still running fine. I have replaced the combustion and distrubution fans. That's it. Yes, a bit expensive, I will admit to that, especially in the present economy.
My Harman p43 which I have had for 11 years starts up only on one side of the burn point for the last few years. I’m told by the Harman tech there is a defect in the older P43’s and the back wall warped just under the burn pot. Lovely. Any ideas
I just saw this video and want to comment on Harmon stoves, or at least the one I had. After installation, it never burned correctly. Yeah it did the 'puff smoke into the room' thing, but worse than that it would burn out of control to the point that the stove would roar and vibrate uncontrollably even if all air intakes were tightly closed down. I was afraid to use the stove for the fear of burning the house down. Home Heating Headquarters in Johnstown NY who sold and installed the stove refused to come to the house to see for themselves, what it was doing . I got so pissed that I called Harmon directly and after many tries, spoke to an 'engineer' who had no solutions. I even sent a video to him of the stove shaking and almost melting down due to the high, uncontrollable heat. After more wrangling with HHH, they took the stove back and I used the credit towards a Jotul F500 and it was the best decision I made. The Jotul is so simple to use and control, and provides such great, even heat. This all happened around the time this video was released by Harmon. I see they are still, to this day, having problems with their products so I want stove shoppers to beware and do their due diligence when selecting such an important appliance for their homes. I've been a wood stove burner for over 40 years, so it wasn't like I didn't know what I was doing!
We've had very similar experience as you with the Oakwood. Every year there are issues with puffs of smokes. We have used the stove for a decade but don't trust it. This year we have to decide to spend money to replace the firedome and shoe brick, or, remove the stove altogether and buy something else. I've read good things about the Jotul. Also, similar wood burning experience.
Harman pellet stoves are a make work project for the industry.
Looks great! Nice camera work too!!
Keep in mind that I've only used it for a couple weeks, that being said, so far so good kzread.infoUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM . Using it at 8 ft. by 8ft. deer blind that is insulated. I have to keep the door cracked for it to get enough air to burn, but that is very likely the wood I've used. Much better quality than I expected for the price. Now if I can just take it easy in the beginning it won't be 90 degrees in my blind. All in all it seems like a keeper.
For which surface and room volume? What is the price?( I live in France).
How do I clean my pellet stove
I recently had my brand new p35i installed a week ago and I continue to smell wood burning smell inside my house. I’ve put a good 8 hours in the unit and burned a whole bag of premium pellets. What could be the issue? Also tried other types of pellets and still get the burning smell. It gets worse as the unit is about to shut down…. Please help
Way too much cleaning and maintenance to get half the heat of a coal unit..I run my coal furnace all winter with no cleaning of maintenace involved..Put coal in..empty the ash pan..Clean it once a year
what size brush, is being used to clean the exhaust? anyone have a recommendation on what product to purchase?
for 5k,, i could buy 3 pelpro pellet stoves, an be happier... thats rediculous...
5k not for me thats ridiculous
I have a OLD p61, serial number 000667 that I am doing a partial rebuild on such as blower motor, distro blower, auger and auger motor and circuit board. burn pot looks perfect but not sure it has been replaced or not. The stove has not been ran is quite a long time but when I plugged it in it ran but the auger squeaked and I did not start a fire in it. I have contacted local authorized dealers techs but I think they know less about it than I do. They say the stove needs to be hooked up and vented before they come out. Whats the point then? Most of the parts seem available that I will order for it and there have been some upgrades. My concern is I dont know the stoves upgradable capabilities and I want it to be as efficient and trouble free as possible, what all should I be doing to the stove that makes it as close to new as possible. Thanks.
Just to let everyone know the recommended Tripplite model internet750u does not work for a p35i. I even confirmed that with the manufacturer who said it did not have enough power to run the stove. Don't waste your money
THIS WAS NO HELP you would think the manufacture would explain there controls !!
I just looked at one of these in a store and liked it a lot. I just wish it had WiFi control so I could control it via a phone app. That’s becoming less of a luxury option and more of an expected thing, especially for high end equipment such as this.
anyone run into a problem like this? My Harman 52I insert, when the stove is initially heating up, or when the stove temp is going back up to a higher temp, I get a vibration that carries into my floor, and up into the mantle. I have taken pictures of the screen, and sound could be, but I"m not sure is when the auger is near its max. It sounds like a mack truck is idling right outside my house. Any idea if its the auger, or something else vibrating? When I get it in a steady state, say 2.5, about 300 degrees, the noise mostly goes away - most of the time. But if I heat it up to high 300s, the vibrations come back. This is a brand new stove from October 2022. And its been happening since day 1. They came out and replaced the blower motor, and now, I also have a slight hum out of that as well, where the original fan was whisper quiet. I ran Minuteman supreme for the first ton of pellets which were .15% ash pellets. and I clean the stove once a week. Any ideas on what to troubleshoot?
Its the heat plates on either side of the medallion, they rattle when the combustion motor runs at a certain rpm. Unfortunately, it is a design flaw as the plates always have some play in them and are free to rattle. I resolved the issue by inserting a penny on both sides so that the plates can no longer rattle. This worked for me.
I tried that. It wasn't it. But what I did find is that the floor is a tiny bit in level. Where the cage/rack in have in the firebox to receive the stove, it was transferring into the lip through the floor. I got some 1/8" flat rubber, took the stove out, and put some under the cage to elevate it slightly and act as shock absorbers of sorts. Cut it down by about 1/2. So it's bearable now ;). Thanks for the tip
My stove started making a clunking sound and then stopped feeding pellets. Turned out the pellet chute was clogged. The auger had to be removed to clean it. Big clumps of solidified fines came out. Also, one of the holes in the feeder plate was clogged. That hole is what helps clear fines from the feed area. During reassembly, careful seating of the auger also fixed the moaning noise.
that is way overprice at over $700, then you have to buy the battery too!
I guess I'm going to use this forum to complain a little. We bought an Absolute43 about two months ago and the salesman said installation would cost about $1200.00. When the installers were finished with a relatively simple through the wall installation, he handed me a bill for $2000.00. When I asked about the lower cost install, they looked at me like I was joking. He informed me no install is that cheap and the salesman should have given me a written estimate. Needless to say, this has ruined my Harman experience.

Do you recommend a safe indoor long lifetime battery for P61?
Any luck yet? Lost power twice yesterday and house filled with exhaust twice. Trying to do research now, another storm coming in two days
but it work stove for 3 hours first time and 2nd time hour and half. product it might not compatible with inverter
@kakish76 hey thanks for getting back so quick. Which product are you referring to? Btw I ordered an APC Back-UPS Pro BR1500MS2 from Amazon. I'll let you know how it turns out if I lose power. I have a Harman P61 that's 20 years old btw.

I’ve heated my home in Minnesota exclusively with my Harman P-68 for 17 years with no complaints. Yes I’ve had to replace a couple of parts but they are damn easy to work on. You can learn all you need to know from KZread videos.
P68 is an awesome stove. I've had mine for 12 years still going strong.
Got my P68 this week, this stove just keeps throwing the heat out.
I have had a Harman pellet stove for eight years now and I can honestly say it’s one of the smartest investments I’ve ever made I use it to heat my lower level rec room I heat 😮my house with natural gas but just having a stove running just creates a wonderful warm inviting environment on those cold windy snowy days
Most smartest lol
