  I just bout the gen2 version that comes with wood grips and shapes more like the m84. I noticed there is a sizable gap above the front of the barrel and under the slide where the front sight is mounted. Is this 1st gen version designed the same way?

  Yes this slide is probably 1/16 on an inch above the barrel at the end

  Kudos on recognizing the tool for replacing the backstops. It shows that you understand the product. I also appreciate your "cheat sheet" when going over the specs of the gun.   Tisas now sells the Fatih with upgraded wood grips. The plastic grips on the 1st model absolutely peel the skin off my right knuckle. Contact Tisas to pursuade them to sell the new grips.

  I just got this rifle today because of some videos I watched. While I haven't had time to shoot it yet, right off the bat it is having feeding problems. Now it could have everything to do with the ammo, federal premium personal defense 45gr punch JHP. It could also be the follower spring is too weak. I took out the spring and stretched it and that seems to have almost eliminated the feed problem, almost but now, it'll only hold 4 rounds and not 5. I'd like to buy a couple more mags for it but, at $30 for a little 5 round mag seems a little on the expensive side.

  Thanks for watching. I have not had any feeding or ejecting problems with mine. The only problem i have had is failure to fire every now and then. It has happened with several types of ammo. I do not think it is the rifle. i have had hard primer strikes so it is probably the ammo. you should still be able to load five rounds after streching the spring. Check the follower and make sure is in the right position.

  I bought this rifle in 17 HMR it shoots half inch groups add 50 yd, I'm happy with it

  I suggest adding the Wilson Combat Shok-Buff. I use it on Beretta 92s and Girsan Regards. They should work on Taurus PT92s just as well.

  @@DR.DREAD1984 The 92X Performance is my favorite, but I like them all. The Regard is a smooth gun for the price, but also has a too soft recoil spring.

  Per the videos I have seen on this ammunition is there is a manufacturer that used Venom brass and that is where the problem came from. True Venom ammunition was shown to have projectiles almost identical in color. That is what I saw the other day because I was thinking of ordering 1000 rounds from PSA.

  I seem to remember that it came to be that someone was using their brass to manufacture ammunition and they had a lot of problems. However, this is the venom brand. I shot about four more boxes after that video and didn’t have nearly as much problems as a first eight or 10 boxes.

  Yes they did and they sent me a form to fill out. The second case was a lot more consistent and had just a few failures to fire.
