71 here. These interviews of classic musicians who reflect on their lives and the eras they live in are among my favorites! The golden era of rock and roll, it was a great time to be alive!

How the interviewer dare to tell Mark Knopfler "you could make a ton of money" if Dire Straits re-unite for few concerts! Musicians of such talent don't live for money. They live for music with the joy of sharing with their public!

I grew up with the uk rave scene Dreamscape fantasia Helter-skelter I loved it but once I turned 30 I cant stand it anymore I know love listening to our countries finest Dire straits iron maiden etc and this music hits me like a brick emotionally spiritually without sounding weird. Modern music is fraudulent at least back in the day they wrote their own lyrics music no autotune no ghost writers just pure raw talent and im so grateful to be British such a small country yet are titans in music and it gives makes me tear up. I hear Americans saying marks overrated so is all british music but if you show pride in Britain you always have people put you down Americans mainly but if we put them down the same way they wouldn't like it id never put American music down the way some have recently. I listen to marks music everyday his guitar skills are enough to put goosebumps all over me. And to see he auctioned off all his guitars for charity come on whats not to respect.

Great person he is. Love his music. I think in some of his songs, he shows his sense of humour. Industrial Disease is a classic example: " Doctor Parkinson declared 'I'm not surprised to see you here!! You got smoker's cough from smoking, brewer's droop from drinking beer!! I don't know how you got that Bette Davis wheeze, but worst of all young man, you've got Industrial Disease!! "

Mark Knopfler...an extraordinarily rare and gifted guitarist - what a tremendous storyteller with his music, as well. If you passed this guy on the street today, you'd never recognize him for Mark Knopfler; just some regular older-man having a stroll. He continues to prove what we all knew about him right from Dire Straits' debut album - nobody will ever sound like this guy, EVER; It's just not possible. He stands alone and peerless as of yet.
