    hey man, nice vid. I was sitting on rebel 500 yestarday and took a picture, with my height (6'1 / 185) i just look silly, I guess im too tall. Wodering if stock Bolt is any bigger?

  • @Tardy_Productions
    @Tardy_Productions19 күн бұрын

    Definitely bigger, I’m 6’ and the bolt doesn’t feel spacious but absolutely bigger than the rebel. If you do get a bolt, I’d recommend finding some 13inch rear shocks, they will make the bike fit you a lot better.

    "This Ring" is the fork tube bushing. It is why the tube does not just rattle around in the bottom half. To drive that top seal in, just slit a piece of schedule 40 PVC down one side slide it down over the tube, and whack the seal in.

    I love your videos and they helped me make the best decision for my bolt I have watched all these videos on these best bars and in truth just didn't trust the frame of the bolt more than anything I decided to go with a highway bar for an 07 Harley Street Bob I am a professional welder and modified the crash bar to fit and add a cross member I felt was probably missing to begin with between the 2 main supports below the horn. It's really tough and now I can get an easy and cheap replacement on Amazon for 80$. I love it and it has those rubber foot rests in just the right spot for the highway.

    This video is exactly what I needed. Thankyou. I recently got a bolt. Second bike ever. First one was a 250 rebel had it for 4 months and upgraded to the bolt 💀 my only complaint is that I was able to be way more aggressive around corners with my tiny rebel. but with my bolt I literally have to turn the bars like a bicycle at stop signs and such or my foot pegs will scrape the road.

    I went from a Rebel 500 to a Bolt and it might not look much bigger but it certainly feels much bigger. the Rebel is great but damn is it ever cramped. for reference I'm 5'10. every single aspect of the bolt is better imo. the way it looks the way it sounds the way it feels, the seat is waaaay comfier the rebels was terrible and the aftermarket on the bolt is so much better. that being said a 1100 Rebel with forward controls and a taller set of bars is also something to consider. if your 5'8 or less get the 500 as a first bike

    This is some cool advice. But I have to ask. Without sounding like a hater. But isn’t it dangerous for you to put your leg down while drifting? That bolt could potentially snap your leg if it landed wrong. Anyway. I love your vids brother. I have a bolt my self now. It’s been about a year. And I love my bolt. So 10w (cold) is thinner than 20w(cold), and 40(hot) is thinner than 50(hot). With the Bolt being Air Cooled, if you live in Arizona, Texas, etc.. and generally ride in over 90-100° ambient temp. definitely think about stepping up to 20w-50. Sometimes 10-40 is difficult to find. Any new oil is better than running on old oil. So use what you can get. Any oil labled "Meets or exceeds JASO MA2" will work just fine, and more than over kill for these bikes. Pro Tip: The Bolt has a wet clutch system, the clutch shares the same oil as the motor. So the clutch is at the same Temperature as the motor oil.... so its much easier to cook your clutch when the engine is Hot. Get some air flow over those fins every couple dounts! Lol Keep her shiney side up fella's!

    I have ridden my Saddleman for well over 5,000 miles and it has still not broken in. On rides I had to revert to the stock saddle for comfort. Also, the gel inside heats up here in Phoenix and so that the saddle is unbearable to ride on. I complained to Saddleman twice and they offered to 'test' it and if there were no problems I would be penalized with postage. Lousy customer service! It is what it is....looks great BUT crazy hot gel in the summer and hard as hell. I just ordered a custom Whiplash 'Brown Bomber' after reading on line reviews and I am confident it will be a big step up from the Saddleman!
