Carrie has unique advantage, she has the power in her vocals to do nard rock songs, but then turn around and do a soft song and can do it in a blink of an eye. Like I said you can than her older sisters for that. As Carrie's mom said she told her older sisters to babysit Carrie and they would listen to these hard-rock songs all the time. Carrie didn't understand the words, just hear the melody.

Piss off haters....I have mad respect for her. She's got pipes and the balls to pull this off. So much so that GnR had her open for them after seeing it I believe. Need more proof? Check out the job she does on her cover of Motorhead's-- Ace of Spades. She slays it. Here to tell you that as a bonafide rocker whose concert list goes back to Priest and Maiden at their Palladium and MSG shows in 1982....I will absolutely go see her.

I was Living in Lubbock, TX in 2001, when Natalie Maines dissed President Bush on stage in London, England. They went from the #1 selling country band in the USA to the most hated group in one week. Shirts proclaiming them the "Dixie Dorks" popped up everywhere in Lubbock. Never saw a group commit commercial suicide before- or since. And they never recovered. Similar to the Bud Light saga.

In an odd way, Carrie was honoring her sisters with this song. Her two sisters were listening to hard rock bands when they were watching Carrie, which is where she got this type of song. As her mom said she didn't know the words but Carrie got the rhythm drill into her.
