I often do projects based on suggestions and comments from my subscribers or items I find in charity shops. I like to keep my work as simple and basic as possible so that it can be copied easily and improved by anybody who wants to try themselves. I recycle or repurpose items rather than buy new and when I do buy I like to keep it cheap.
I have a second channel "GrandadsOtherChannel" kzread.info which is generally where I will host the videos that give extra detail or longer versions of the videos I post on my main channel.

It did well with the Navy ship recently shown. I like your idea about modding to use an external battery, could be useful with my single batt on a 5 year old camera! Btw, you had a bit of a Stonehenge going on when they were all on the table 😀
So far the new batteries have done OK, but I haven't used them enough to know if they will last. The circuit on the original battery was interesting, in that it needed the button to trigger it.

you are elivated im on a superyacht right now with a 380 meter hapag lloyd container vessel on the radar at 14 nautical miles, guess what i can not see it through the x20 binos on the 2nd deck up so had to go to the 4th deck to be high enough to zoom in on the top of the vessel. same as the radar wont pick up the small fishing boats over the horizon but i can the largr vessels

Your problem is what is known as Power Density and/or Energy Density. To get the power you would need to run a car, you would need a battery bigger than the car. Yes, that ball bearing had me watching closely until you showed it had a hole in the bottom. I was hoping it was an extra clever balancing act/magnetic levitation with the ball spinning on the point. Still worked fine, and I liked the use of the tin foil 👍

We have this kit! But having built it three times, we are having the same issue every time - as we wind it up, everything spins round super fast and then stops when we stop winding. We must have done something wrong with the wind up crank, the ratchet wheel or the wheel/spring but I can't work out what! Any ideas?
If the gears are moving as you are winding it up, that suggests to me that you don't have the parts that connect the pendulum in place correctly. On my instructions those parts are numbered 21, 22, 25, 26, 29. In particular 22 Clear Fork and 29 White Stool.

This really is nothing more than a saltwater battery in rather nice surroundings. I have another one coming up in a week or so, when I just plug the electrodes into the ground. your camera has a lot of zoom to look into the distance at other things. thats a good camera to have. whats the zoom on that camera ? nice video too..
It does 60xOptical zoom and then 260xDigital zoom, but if I use the full digital zoom the picture gets too pixelated to see clearly.

@@pippyquark The pizza box cardboard is great for this sort of thing. It is light and rigid. 👍👍 I have used it on several gliders. However we don't very often have pizzas in that sort of box.
