How long did you or have had the port/cath for and have you had discomfort with muscle tension/tightness around the port, in the neck, chest and shoulder? I have had mine for over three years. If so, would you be willing to share if anything has helped? Curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Based on my research of pots be careful with the salt intake. Theres roughly 3 types of pots (a certain chemical dump in your body to cause the pots, an issue with your nerves not firing properly and an issue with the veins and blood flow) 1 of the 2 causes a disregulation of ypur blood pressure. Salt increases ypur bp but if the pots causes an increase in bp its recommended not to take as much salt. So be careful with that

Idk if you will get this but I love these videos. I hate that you need that stuff, but as a chronic illness person myself I would rather watch this than organizing makeup or something. My mom had to do daily iv antibiotics for a horrible infection so I'm familiar with a lot of this stuff. I wish I had done this for her would have made my job caring for her a lot easier. Thanks for posting, being real and being you. ❤

Bag balm would be good for chapped paws. I used it for diaper area on my kids when they were babies on antibiotics for ear infections. I know it sounds odd to use on a baby but it came hghly reccomdended from a relative.

Thanks for providing this, was looking into getting a wheelchair for ambulatory purposes after a medical scare yesterday. Have pre-existing conditions that limit how long I can stand/walk. Anything over 30 minutes without breaks, my back and legs can hurt and in severe cases pre-syncope like you explain. I’ve never actually fainted but, had a warning sign to sit down. Only have had that happen one other time but, don’t know if it’s my current conditions or maybe something like POTS.

Hi, I have a question. I have pots, and I weigh 422. I'm getting a port on my chest for a potassium transfusion. I have to get it in when i have the gastric bypass. Have you heard of other overweight people with pots? I feel a little alone on this.

The last time I Fainted I was at work, and I hit the back of my head and had a seizure as I lost consciousness, which resulted in me getting a mild concussion. 5 months ago I was diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune disease, and I also believe I may have POTS too but its been hard getting my doctors to look further into it. This past summer I fainted at least three or four times and that was in a short span of a few weeks. So I definitely want to eventually get a wheelchair or some other ambulatory mobility aid. So that I have that added protection if I start to feel faint or suffering from joint pain, body weakness and fatigue which I suffer from alot.

I had a doctor tell me I’m making it up. They did an EKG (while I was laying on a table) and when it came back normal he said there was nothing wrong with me and everything was in my head. So fast forward three years im really struggling with my symptoms. We talked to a cardiologist and they quickly said bring me in for a consult and a few tests. I’m going Thursday! I really hope I can find out what’s wrong with me too.

Hi Haley, I know that you posted this video a long time ago but I struggle with Orthostatic Hypotension which is a form of Dysautonomia. It's similar to POTS. The only difference is that instead of high heart rate when upright or standing up, my blood pressure drops when I'm upright or stand up. I was recently diagnosed with Orthostatic Hypotension on June 26th of this year when I was 25 years old. I also struggle with Auditory Processing Disorder. I was diagnosed with Auditory Processing Disorder when I was 8 years old. Lastly, I struggle with Anxiety and Depression. I've struggled with Anxiety and Depression since I was 10 years old.

One thing you will need for your emergency kit is a tick remover tool. Even if you do not go camping or hiking you can still pick up ticks anywhere. I always keep one in my kit..😊

An old ship, which has ended up like a sieve from the waves, from its storeroom it unburies a metal rope. And it starts to hit the beast, the sea (in the dark jaws of which I destroyed my life). And the somewhat young ships watch it and burst in tears, and they keep their masts down, when sailing. The know their time will come, when they will get eaten up in the shallow waters, having lost their wings and searching for them.
