@@everythingcollegefootball OK St. had one of the worst defenses in the B12 last year ranked 10th out of 14. Do you really think they have improved that much? Utah was one of the top offenses in college ball 2021 and 2022 with Rising at QB. Utah will be able move the ball. Coach Aranda led the Bears to a 12-2 record (the best in program history) in '21, winning many games by one score. They lost many starters to the draft and were questionably picked to win the conference again in '22 but the O-line was weak due to injuries and the qb Shapen absolutely sucked. Many defensive players transferred at season's end. The defensive coordinatorwas fired and the replacement didn't fare well at all in '23. A great home schedule went up in smoke with an ineffective O-line and Shapen sucked AGAIN. 3-9 was the result. '24 looks better. Shapen is gone and the Spavital offense should score much more and with Coach Aranda going hand's-on with the defense the Bears may shock the world again. They have a new offensive coordinator just as they did in '21. They could get a little confidence and if they were to beat Utah early they could challenge for the championship again.
