  Not sure if affliction/demo-tanking is viable. I really like it in open world with siphon life, drain life, insta corruption, curse. Not sure if its shit I just like playing it 😅 would be nice with guides for some nonmeta-specs if theres anything viable at all. From someone thats more experienced. Great videos!

  It’s not “good for logs” or the meta but if you like playing afflic/demo spec that’s awesome. Maybe I’ll make a video on a fun spec like that soon :) it’s a fun never die, tank spec and I also enjoy playing that way

  hey man im looking your guide very cool one ! i have 2 question first is: do you use soul fire in rotation or is it just bad ? and the second is why you think spell power superior to critical bc crit spell does 2 time dmg of the spell. i'm thinking about choose hubris or or adoration stick from last boss it like 55 spell power with hubris and the ball but no crit chance bc no intelligence and the stick give only 20 sp but give 14 inteligence + 2percent crit (for convertion 1percent crit is 25 intelligence)

  Soul fire isn’t really that great so I don’t use it in my rotation. Spell power because it’s consistent increase in damage. Crit is just a little less of a priority than spell power, but still important. I think consistency is better which is why it’s slightly ahead on the priority list.

  It's not mandatory it's just nice to have for situations where you can force in a little extra DPS like PVP. It's situational. Frankly it's only one talent point so it's not going to make or break you.

  imp. Shadow Bolt is for any trash aoe packs in raid, which are a lot. Don't need less mana cost anymore since they buffed paladins.

  Ur line of reasoning make absolutely no sense if u said I want to increase my personal damage it would have made more sense. Buffing the classes that do more damage will improve ur raids damage even more.

  @@justsomeguywithamoustachea2712 if I’m putting up curse of elements, it’s implied that I would be increasing my personal damage. Also the melee damage increase is insanely marginal, you’re acting like if I don’t put up curse of reck we wouldn’t kill the boss.

  The the new changes to life tap you do not need the point in the fel int as your pet now restores mana when you life tap. You can just fill out your stam and 1 in HS.

  If you have the Mara Dagger, which you should farm up at some point if you are serious about the character, you run into the issue that you have to lifetap so rarely that your imp will still run out of mana in longer fights, which means you have to sacrifice a global to get more mana for imp or simply not have the imp attack at this point. So the additional mana has imho way more value compared to the tankyness of the extra stam or the additional heal from the healthstone. With more stamina you will also get more spellpoer from your pet but not by a huge margin. At the end of the day it will not matter much where you put these points in.

  Improved shadow bolt + shadow bolt volley is super important in ST, combine that with back draft and you’ll be top dps no problem, I’ve only been using chaos bolt on single target bosses. Love the vid dude keep it up 👍

  If you wanna parse it really depends on whether warcraftlogs count the adds in on the total DPS. That is different from fight to fight as well.

  Drain soul you don't use in your main rotation. If you mean drain life, yes with master channeler it is good to keep it up especially during high damage phases in fights. Just make sure if mana gets low, you use mana tap when appropriate (Above 50% health).

  personally, I like putting 5/5 in demonic embrace, and 3/3 in fel intellect, keeps your imps mana up longer for the fight, and slightly increases your SP because of your feet rune. but I can see 5/5 in improved corruption.

  I think because you only need a few life taps to be full it doesn’t really matter too much. With all the healing you can do as a lock between master channeler, health stones, and the mortal coil to help with mana tapping, I don’t see the point in that talent. Imo both talents are pretty minimal.

  Lake of fire is dead. You have to channel the full duration to get the buff. Even if that was possible as a tank it wouldn’t be worth it. I’d imagine Demonic Tactics will be the secondary pick if you don’t need self healing

  Agreed, it needs something streamlined like LFG/Random dung finder to bring people together quicker without the chaotic trade chat. The only downside is it takes you out of the world but tbh hardly anybody uses said world. I used to love ticking off each dungeon on my tank back in the day, without trekking across the world on my lonesome.

  Maybe this is an old video ? idk. Seems like phase 1? But Disc priest isn't like old Disc priest. IMO it is by far best healing Priest and best healer in SOD. I do a dung or raid and there is no need to do any dmg..I can..I have...but you don't need to do dmg to increase healing like DIsc used to be. And Prayer of Mending is by far best healing spell for party healing for Priest.. Especially in Raids..Prayer of Mending and Renew 1 on everyone but Tank. Circle healing is nice but not mana efficient.

  You don't need other mana runes if your running with a Shield as Shield Mastery recovers mana when you block. This is plenty to keep your mana up and running. Unless your constantly spamming Max abilities like Earth Shock max ? that's a no-no if your tanking just Rank 1 for taunts that's. Max Flame Shock if your healthy with mana = Rank 1 Flame Shock if your not. All there is to it in my eyes. I never ran into mana issues where I was totally at 0 with Shield Mastery up and running blocking and feeding me mana back. On top of that if your Duel Wield Tanking the 3-set mail set bonus (5% chance to recover 100 mana on attack) should also help keeping your mana up even without Shield Mastery so it should be totally fine as Lava Lash is SOOOO cheap in mana cost + Storm Strike is also not too bad on mana cost. Good luck Shamans !

  Dominos is the addon I use for action bars, there isn't a similar copy and paste type code. At least that I can see, however it is very easy to build. Especially if you like how mine looks and you have a blueprint of what you want it to look like. Sorry I couldn't give you a faster way. If i find one ill replace this message with the profile :)

  Ok few things, nice you made a video for this. 1: Water Shield you lose a stack when you are hit yes but you GAIN mana. It's also a free spell. 2: Don't switch Maelstrom for Powersurge. 5% is nothing compared to melee swings. And like you said these are free spells. 3: You can 2h tank with 2h Mastery. The extra 10% spell hit means your taunts won't resist as much and you'll land more Maelstrom Procs.

  If you mean a boss, yes it’s good to re apply LoF, however if mana is tight and you don’t wanna tap and hurt your healers then I would conserve your mana for the other abilities in your rotation

  Does Demonic Tactics (chest rune) go with Feet rune Dance of the Wicked? Meaning: 10% crit from the chest rune = 10% more dodge ? also more uptime on belt rune shadow and flame?

  Demonic tactics is specifically melee and spell crit so I’m going to say it doesn’t effect the dodge of wicked, however more spell crit would mean that you would have a better chance of having shadow and flame activate.

  Key difference is that demo is more defensive, you die slower, and you use drain life in your rotation so more healing. Destro gives up the defense and healing and relies on your healers more but does more damage and has better threat. Hope this helped :)

  I’ve heard a few people mention affliction tanking, I myself have not seen videos and guides that talk about it. From what people in the comments have told me they like it. Instead of being super tanking like demo it’s a lot more healing to stay alive if that makes sense. I want to test it out but haven’t seen much about it but if I’m able to make a build I’ll make a video on it.

  I don't want the Random dungeon finder, I just want the Looking for group finder where you can put your party and people queue for it and you select the classes you want. I don't like using chat to look for people cause the chat is often bloated and its a mess. I will never accept to be teleported in dungeons in any version of vanilla wow, I just want a system that makes raid/dungeon building easier just like on retail. SoD is heavy on PvP, and teleporting people in dungeon will kill a big part of world pvp which is in front of dungeon or near dungeon locations. Hot Take : I want them to put a system that removes the experience gain from dungeons after you've done it once

  100% agree chat spam is not a good way to do it. A looking for group bulletin board where you can post what roles you need for a dungeon would work great. Players whisper you and you can invite from there. That interaction is important as it teaches people to be social and learn how to assert themselves to get into group, raids, guilds, etc.

  Short answer is, I just don't care to do so. I play the game to have fun and I think logging is a total waste of time. I run with my guild and we just run to have fun. Sometimes we clear all the bosses sometimes we don't and that's how I enjoy to play.

It would be better if you did in my opinion so people could take you more seriously. Also, you shouldn’t cast immolate before chaos bolt in your beginning rotation. You want to cast Chaos Bolt ASAP so you can start the CD sequence for it

  My man, great video. Affliction tanking is damn near impossible to kill as well. And it is by far, the best at soloing dungeon content. I haven't respec'd since p1. Master channeler, improved drain life, AND siphon life is the way to go.

  🤔 I’ve never seen anyone use affliction spec to tank, I’ll definitely need to look into it more because it sounds fun

  I just Tanked as affliction did great in there did as much healing as the healers were doing
