    Girl I want to go to Syracuse but there’s a couple of things!! 1. Is Syracuse in general safe? 2. HOW did you afford it? 3. Communal bathrooms . . . Oh lord. How do you survive them? Is there any dorms that have bathrooms where just you and your roommate share?

    Hii! So, to answer your questions: 1. I'd personally say that campus is pretty safe, but regardless, especially when it's dark, you should be aware of your surroundings!! Let someone know when you are out late. 2. I'm able to afford going to su bc of good financial aid, scholarships, parents helping out, and having a job 🙂 3. Haha, I totally understand. I felt the same way about communal bathrooms before coming to college. I just thought of it as an experience, and it's really not that terrible! The bathrooms are cleaned daily for the most part, and I personally liked waking up early, so I didn't run into a lot of people in the bathroom when it was busy. Some dorms have pod bathrooms where it's still shared by everyone on the floor but you have a lock (so one person uses it at one time) but the dorms I lived at were all communal based. I'm not sure if there are many freshman dorms that have bathrooms that you and your roommate only share, but if you have further concerns, you could always email the housing office!

    @@heartyl thank you so much!! So the campus is safe, what about the city? Obviously Ive never been to college, do you even go out into the city or is almost everything on campus?? Also, what were some scholarships you applied to?? And how did you get that financial aid ?

  • @heartyl

    No problem! I don't go out to the city that often but the times I did, it was during the daytime which I think it's pretty safe but not sure if it's super safe during the nighttime especially if you are alone. So I guess just be aware of that like you would in any other city. A lot of stuff is around campus, and we had shuttles that went to grocery stores. But if I really needed to go out of campus, I took Uber or ordered stuff to my dorm, lol. I got my scholarship bc of my gpa & credits taken during my freshman year of college (Invest SUccess Scholarship) & also dean scholarship from my acceptance letter. There is a list of scholarships syracuse gives out on their website, which you should check out!! For financial aid, you should apply for the FAFSA and CSS Profile as both of these will be considered for all financial aid opportunities!

    excuse me? the nct posters? i love them, absolutely love them. i’m considering going to su if i chose to go out of state (otherwise i’ll be heading to vcu or liberty) because i really loved ny when i lived there a while back. i’ve been checking out some campuses through vlogs, then checking which majors they offer. so i want to ask, is this a good college? do they offer a lot and is it comfortable?

  • @heartyl
    @heartylАй бұрын

    Ooo, fellow nctzen? 👀🫶 You should definitely consider su!! I think syracuse is a good college overall, but it also depends on what you want to major in! They have a lot of resources and opportunities, so I'd say it's pretty comfortable in that sense.

    I lived in Brewster 1978-82. we did everything we could to tear the place apart but I see its still standing. At that time Brewster was all guys and Bolland was all girls. Lots of good times there. In those days we all had sizeable stereo systems. No cell phones or blue tooth back then. but stereo receivers that weighed 45 pounds and speakers about 2 feet tall. 12 inch woofers of course. HIGH POWER. whenever it was warm speakers would appear in a window. the music would kick in. Some Molly Hatchet or Police to amp up the peeps. then a trip to Abdo's market for some cold brews and the party would begin in the courtyard. Do they still do that ? No ? Probably be arrested for having a good time like that now.
