I want to get a 3D printer, to make small parts for the project car. Any recommendations?
@dividingbyzerofpv674834 минут бұрын
Research FDM printing versus resin printing, the PLA and PETG printing favors larger parts at the cost of layer lines. Resin printing turns out very nice surface quality parts but sacrifices size, resin can be pretty resilent to UV.

Maybe I don't understand the measurement segment well enough, but it seems like a problem with a lot of these flares that go straight out from the body: Won't the tire smash into it as the suspension moves through the travel? Or are you planning only 1" of travel? Great video, thanks for sharing!

Hey man! Been watching your videos for some time now! Congratulations, they are amazing! I am in the process of doing CF doors on my e30 m3 race car. I have some questions if you don’t mind! I noticed you used 2 layers, then soric, maybe LRC 1.5 and then 1 final layer for the door face, but for the frame, will 3 layers work OK for the hinges and lock? What about for the top frame window edge? Thanks in advance!

Just a heads up....any shading on the panel will significanly drop its output. The handle on your trailer casting shade would effect it.

Thanks for making these videos AJ! Very cool to watch and learn. I noticed you ran the infusion across the diffusor components. What is the advantage of running the flow of resin across instead of lengthwise? Time? Also if you did run it lengthwise (low point of mold to high point of mold) would it help any air bubbles to escape more easily?

Reducing the costs of airtabs? Either you have a 3D printer or you don't. Never pay retail again. Lol. I'll get back to printing kazoo parts while designing some venturi nozzles for dust removal inside cnc vertical mills.

I’m just a nobody that doesn’t have a lot to offer up. But I’ve got a gt350 that had the same issues When the voltage would become erratic the car would begin to shut different circuits off, dash lights, radio, power steering…. No one could figure it out so I just drove the car until it wouldn’t operate in a “normal” capacity. Ford tech found a pin at the alternator plug that was discoloring pretty bad from arcing, changed out the wiring harness in that area and I’ve driven about 8,000 miles with no electrical issues. Good luck, and I enjoy the videos!

That's a funny sounding New Edge your driving!!! J/k😂 Congrats on the new PB at VIR in the GT350. Love VIR! Sorry to hear about the electrical / alternator gremlins your experiencing. Seems like lots of forum threads on this issue with no clear definitive resolution, except the Alternator and maybe pigtail harness, which is subject to the heat and vibration. I'm sure you'll get it sorted out!🤙

If ye old alternator issues still persist due to overheating I’d be tempted to drive it off the rear diff flange . I’d definitely check the battery isolator making sure it’s not intermittently going to ground or a loose connection. Maybe use a smaller alternator from say a Kabota engine if it’s powerful enough, Failing that get another BMW . 😇

The three pin plug has a reference for the voltage regulator and take a signal from the ECU. Most will actually not work without some reference so that's lucky. If that connection is intermittant it will very much cause voltage spikes.

Loving your videos! I looked through the other comments and didn't see this question, so I thought I would ask. How hard is it to line up the weave where it comes together in the middle? I was 100% sure I'd be able to see the seam, but at least in the video I couldn't even tell it wasn't one big sheet of carbon fiber. How do you do it? Also, I saw the filter door mold video. Do you have a video showing how you made molds for the larger parts like your Mustang doors, etc. Thanks for your time!!
