I'm still suffering from eight months of shoulder arthritis and am receiving Fascia Stretch treatments to get mobility back in my shoulders and arms. I currently do have a sore neck and shoulders and these exercises are exactly what I needed to help my mobility and posture problem especially between Fascia Stretch treatments. I'm not sure what to do for my numb wrists and hands. Thankfully my son is a Fascia Stretch Therapist or I'd still be in pain with frozen shoulder. Thank you!

The moment you someone pair the word "combination" with "self-defence*, you can safely ignore that person. The longer and more complex the sequence is, the less it will work. This, sadly, is completely useless after the initial kick to the groin.

I have used this excellent combination several time, in real combat, along with numerous Army Rangers. We will all ignore Cailus3542.

Respect is an important tenet of any martial art. This "completely useless" combination has been used very successfully in combat. Cailus3524 does have a point: combat is chaotic, and never predictable. Still, be polite, Cailus.

@BernieM19051 I apologise if I'm being disrespectful. The last time that I criticised a self-defence KZreadr, they threw a tantrum. They ranted about their "fifty odd years of martial arts experience", how their system "saved lives", and constantly insulted me, even when I was trying very hard to get polite and helpful. It was wrong for me to assume that you'd have a similar reaction. With all that said, I hope that you can address my concerns about this. I'll stick to the combination itself, if you don't mind. Respectfully, since I have no way of verifying that this is/was taught in the US military, so I'll ignore that. I also won't reference my own experience, for the same reason. 1) In this video, you don't do a full speed demonstration. I know that this is a silly question, but have you trained with this combination at full speed? If so, why not demonstrate that your video? 2) After the groin kick, why not simply punch and/or run away? The eye poke, headbutt and elbow strikes all mean getting closer to the attacker, increasing risk unnecessarily. 3) As demonstrated here, the palm heel strike is...I'm sorry, I don't know to put this gently: it would do nothing. That technique only works if targeted on a specific area, not as a general attack as done here. 4) Why do this at all? It's a very specific sequence that takes time to do, all relying on the attacker not reacting or defending themselves. This goes against the basic rule that practical self-defence should be simple and quick. 5) At the end, you suggested moving on to a "different target." Would you recommend trying this against multiple attackers? 6) It just occurred to me: in this sequence, you are the attacker. Legally, then, this is assault, not self-defence. You are choosing to escalate into violence rather than de-escalating or simply running away. Why? I hope you can address my concerns.

@@Cailus3542 Hey Cailus, let's consider ourselves brother martial artists. You were very correct in at least two of your comments: 10 steps? I spent 13 years in the Army Rangers; those of us who used this combo in combat never got past the 6th step, and then it had to be lightning fast. So "10 steps" is theoretical, or at least a training drill. And, in the chaos of combat, your plan only lasts until the other guy starts fighting back. Someone said correctly, "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face." Have a look at Self Defense Training System with Damian Ross. No nonsense, no false realities, just well-grounded self-defense. His system is also based on Army combat, from Col Fairbairn's work. You may be familiar with Fairbairn. Find him in Wikipedia.
