Helping fellow Honda owners to upgrade and maintain these excellently engineered vehicles and in some cased improving on that engineering. I do/did own 4 CR-V's, 1 Accord, 1 Integra, and 2 Civic's, so I have learned a few things over the year and look forward to sharing. My intent is to make these video's short, less than 10 minutes, as we are all too busy to watch a movie marathon.

Since these lights replace the rear reflectors, they are not legal as the car will now have no rear reflectors at night when the car is powered off. You should mention that as it may be an insurance issue in an accident.
Honda dealership wanted $250 to replace air filter and cabin air filter, I said LOL NO
That’s crazy, so glad you saw this video, enjoy your $230 dollars saved! Thanks for watching!
I figured out one reason the HomeLink garage opener buttons are gone. Honda is now part of the competing MyQ “family”. Its called “HondaLink MyQ - MyGarage”. Only $129 for a 3 year subscription! Control your garage door from anywhere with internet on your HondaLink app! (You can’t make this up..)
I love you for this. Thank you so much. Ordered!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Do these lights flash or Sequential flash when using the turn signal? I got 2 diff pairs of these from 2 diff sources with the wiring harness adapter and none of them work with the turn signal. The Welcome flash and brake light function work, but not the turn signal function.
I only wanted them as marker lights, but changing the pin out to line up w the brake and or turn signals would be an options. Thanks for watching!
I'm a little confused, the manual says to add 3.7 quarts when changing both oil & filter (at least it does for my 2024 1.5L). Wouldn't 4.2 quarts be to much?
If you check out the comments, you will find many discussions and opinions about this. Thanks for watching!
@@zoomgas2803 Yes, now that I have I reviewed I will most certainly be using 3.7 quarts. Thanks
Q. Will this cable work for 2025 honda crv?
This will likely work as the 25 is same design as 23 and 24.
This is so damn annoying! Who fricken decided at Honda this was a good idea to have a noisy AF pump come on like that and run for 30 min?I’m never buying a Honda again personally. It makes my CRV feel even more junky.
Many of the modern vehicles do this, so not unique necessarily to Honda.
Thank you so much for this Video
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
THANK YOU PAUL
You are welcome, thanks for watching!
Hugely helpful. Even I can follow these instructions! Thanks!
Great to hear! Thanks for watching!
Thank you! This works!
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
What is the part number of this, can't seem to find it anywhere

Just got it, opened it, saw all in Japanese instructions. Got your video to get it done. Very simple, works well, Thanks!!
Glad it was helpful, thanks for watching!
STRAIGHT TO THE POINT & very easy to follow along with. Great video my man💪🏼💪🏼
This is not accurate for 2024 Hybrid models. Please search for correct video from another for that. Just changed out my own Engine air filter so know 1st hand. Thanks.
Good idea to wear nitrile gloves, oil is toxic not good for the skin.
The port is too expensive
Is the 1.5t engine known to be an oil burner down the road, or is it a pretty safe bet? Also wondering about carbon buildup on intake valves since it's GDI only.
A simple alternative to replacing the horn is to adjust the existing horn's tone/volum. the factory horn has a single Phillips screw on the back of the factory horn (you have to take out the 12mm headed mounting bracket bolt to see it) and thought it looked like an adjustment screw. Sure enough, I played with it and got a way better sound from the horn. You have to take out the big plastic cover in the front, with the hood opener hole to get to the horn, but not a big deal with small blade screw driver and pliers.
Hi, Even if you make it easy I don't dare to do this myself. I wonder, how can I find someone that can do it in my area (21043). Someone that has done it several times before.
Glad your going to do it, go to your local rv trailer center, they will typically do hitch installs. Thanks for watching!
As a product development manager/engineer. Whoever designed it this way should be fired 😂
What if you just kept it unplugged and didn’t add anything? Would that disable it?
Looks good! Next tire rotation, I'll be trying this! Hopefully, I don't slip and paint the rotor! lol
I’m sure you will do just fine. Enjoy the new look, once completed. Thanks for watching!
Im trying to buy this ones or the ones that says crv next to the red lights they look so nice
See the link in the description, you will like them! Thanks for watching!
amazon says this won't fit 23 and 24 cry
You might need to check your settings, as Amazon does show that it fits and it is a direct replacement of the exact same size. After 15 months I have replaced several times utilizing these, works great. Thanks for watching!
Would this be the same for a 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L?
It should be the same, as the new Accord utilizes similar electronics to the 2023 and post CR-V’s. Thanks for watching!
Will this work on the 2024 civic touring?
I believe the civic part is not the same. Thanks for watching!
My 4 screws are impossible to remove. They are like stuck in it.
Other comments have recommended using JIS screwdriver for the Phillips looking heads. Also, because they get embedded w dirt/dust, hit them with some Liquid Wrench and let them soak for a few minutes. amzn.to/4bWMFkX Thanks for watching!
I'm curious if yours are still operating correctly? I purchased some from a different vendor, and the direction of the "L" is wrong.
Yes, they are working flawless, thanks for watching!
Part link for filter said wasn't compatible with 2022 honda crv, very helpful vids though
That is correct, this is for 2023 and 2024, the latest gen CRV. For the 2022, you would need to use amzn.to/3VcP1Vv Thanks for watching!
Thanks

Where can I buy the light ?
This may be too late to get an answer, but according to three manual it states this car only needs 3.7 quarts, not 4.2. When I put in 4.2 it was overfull on the dipstick
There are several discussions, if you read thru the comments regarding personal preference of oil fill amounts. Thanks for watching!
I just purchased a 2024 it has drive mode the product description says with drive mode but notations on pictures say do not purchase will not fit with drive mode will it work or not?
If you go to the link in the description, then select the one that mentions “23-24 w drive mode”. That should be what comes up from the link and that’s the one shown in video and has worked perfectly for over 18 months now. Thanks for watching!
For people waiting for the car to tell you when you need an oil change and depending on that free honda two year free oil change. Forget it, basicaly honda is giving you two free oil changes over two years. Not worth it get oil changed and pay for it yourself every 5k. Unless you want a screwdd up turbo. Also get first oil change at 1k
You can also change oil yourself and not reset the timer and then take to dealer on your next change, so you get best of both- more frequent changes and use of your first 2 years maintenance for free. Thanks for watching!
Waiting more than 5,000 miles on any engine, especially a turbo, is just shortening the life of the engine. Forget what the dealer or mfg says….want it to last…then no more than 5,000 miles on an oil change.
@@zoomgas2803 This is what I was thinking. I don't mind having a shop do the 1k, then 6k without reset, then have dealer do 9-10k. granted free maintanice is tire rotation and oil. for two year. All you get is two oil changes
@@DesignBuildFixReview you are correct, thanks for watching!!
@@garyhumble589More is better 😉
Called Honda customer service and was informed I could go into the settings and disable the rear camera…thank you 😊
Does orientation of the horn matter? Can you install the horn with the horn outlet facing the front of the vehicle? Or would the horn be in danger of getting water into it through it's outlet?
If you face it forward, it should be forward/downward, so any moisture can drain out. Thanks for watching!
Great video!
Thanks!
Thanks, this was great!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Just got a 2023 Honda CRV and every time I back up the car stops itself not too aggravating. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.
Since you just got it, I assume it is used, so have you installed this or any other devices?
@@zoomgas2803 Just a hitch and a bike rack…🤷♂️
@@Cream1968That sounds like maybe you have something w the Reverse sensor, that is triggering that. As the car turns the camera/screen on and other functionality, once it is in Reverse, something must be interfering with that to create this issue. Have you checked it with a code reader to make sure you don’t have something else that this happens to trigger?
There no need to remove bumper I bought my hitch at uhaul all I did was drop the mufflers that’s it I was done in 40 mins
Team, can anyone tell me the exact part number for a dual port for a 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring? I got ripped off by the dealer, and so wish I found this video earlier.
WOW GREAT UPGRADE. Thanks for sharing!! May i ask where you bought the plugs that exactly fits the factory ?
In the description, thanks for the kind comments and glad you found it useful! Thanks for watching!
Clear, helpful video with good views of each step.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Will this work on 2023 CRV hybrid sport touring ?
Unfortunately this will not work on the 2024 CRV Hybrid.
What is that ?
It sets the automatic idle stop default to “off” when you start the vehicle. Still can turn it on/off as you please. Thanks for watching!
Oh ok mine don’t have it . Honda CRV 🇺🇸
Or you can get the app subscription for 5 years for the same amount of money that opens and closes your doors on the screen
App only works on certain high end trim packages to open garage door last time I checked, not on the EX-L. Thanks for watching!
Just installed mine. Huge THANK YOU for your help. Saved me much aggravation.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching!
