I started my small business journey January of 2024 and wanted to document my entire journey running my Etsy sticker shop. Hopefully my content can help provide insights, education, or just some comfiness to your day!

I’d say they are! Of course every business goes through dips in sales (I just experienced a major dip in sales in June) but it’s been picking up again recently

Currently making all my stickers in house with my printer and circuit machine! This is the most cost effective for me starting out. Plus, I’ve had my circuit for years and learned the ins and outs of the machine and software making so many different things. HOWEVER, I did spend A LOT of time figuring out the best print settings, cut settings, and best method to laminate them. Now that I got my process down, doesn’t take much time at all to make a sheet of stickers and rarely get wasted ones 😊 it’s a learning process for sure and depends on your circumstances on what works best for you!
That’s awesome that you’re getting your use out of the circuit! I used it for about a year and could never quiiite get it the way I wanted 😭 huge props to you, I know how difficult it can be to initially figure out the weeds of the cricuit!

@@imjoannazheng Just stating that Decals are hard sell right now because of all the competition. Everyone can't sell decals. They can try but they won't succeed. Some of us do this for living and all the competition is hurting...
I get that, the way I see it is this can happen with anything, and running a business would be hard and competitive regardless of what you’re selling. My goal is to create art that I enjoy and if one day this can be my full time job, that would be my dream 🙂

Hm I don’t think I specifically have mentioned it in a video but I get all my packaging from Amazon. I get a lot of inspiration from artists I follow on Instagram and check out their Amazon storefronts!

Ofc! For my pictures, I usually take photos with my camera that I also use for filming. For the extra design stuff and text, it’s a combination of procreate doodles and for text I use canva, I find that they have really nice fonts ✨
And for the cut out images, I utilize the “sticker” feature that iPhones have, that’s been super helpful 😅

Doest this printer only print black lines on already colored sticker paper? or does it also print colors?

Hi! How did you get your packaging and business cards?
Hi there! I designed my cards on procreate, and then uploaded the designs to Vistaprint and ordered business cards from them. Hope that helps! 😊
Super cute! Congrats on being able to upgrade. Its crazy you posted this because I was about to add the munbyn to my cart mainly to shorten my shipping label making process. Have you used it at all for shipping labels? Hoping for a label printer that I can directly bluetooth from my laptop since I use Pirate Ship shipping.
Thank you! And yes! When I first started using them it was just for shipping labels. I believe their printers only have Bluetooth capability to mobile/tablet, and to pc there’s a wire. But, I’ve been pretty happy with both my Munbyn printers. I have the P129 for shipping labels and the P941B for stickers but they’re all interchangeable
wow thanks for the explanatory response! That is good to know. I didn't realize that their different machines had different functionalities. I will aim for the shipping label one then! I do alot of cricut stuff so i tend to make my own packaging stickers, but i hate printing and manually cutting out shipping labels. you don't get that "artists joy" like with packaging related stickers haha.

What kind of paper do you use for the thank you card?
Hi! I print my cards through Vistaprint, so I’m not completely sure the type of paper but my guess is like a high quality thick card stock. I chose a matte version but they also have glossy cardstock. When I used to print my own cards, I just used thick cardstock 🙂 hope that helps!

I just had my first sale on my shop too and it's for USPS first class shipping. Makes me nervous because it's not updating 😭😭
Are you also selling items that are classified as the small envelope category? Like the Pitney bowes tracking? Because yeah they sometimes take a while to do updates and such. Usually, I just make sure to let all my customers know the package was shipped out and if they do run into any issues receiving their package to contact me. Definitely understand your stress, I went through a lot of that too 😭
I'm really glad you're showing the real struggle of a fully handmade creator of products from design to finish but I believe BTS videos such as this are all what is going to help boost your commercial presence. We all have to start somewhere! <3 Love from Ireland.

Hello! Are you asking on making handmade stickers? I have a video on how I make stickers, but it’s more about me drawing stickers and how to print with a manufacturer. If you’re interested in handmade stickers, I’d recommend looking into the Cricut cutting machines and there’s a lot of creators that use it for making stickers!

Hey there! Of course this all depends on your budget and the amount you're comfortable with spending. Any of the ipad pros are solid options that will last you many many years. At one point before i upgraded, I was mainly using my 1st gen ipad pro for the longest time. Currently I use a gen 12 ipad pro!

Hi! Usually when I draw my stickers on procreate I create a canvas that’s at least 1000 x 1000 pixels so it won’t come out blurry.

Hi friend. I haven't launched yet, but when I used USPS to set an envelope of my stickers to my friend last month it got lost. Now as I prep for launch I'm considering options that at least include tracking. :'( Hope no more of your packages get lost and thanks so much for sharing your journey.
Ah I’m sorry to hear you also lost a package 😭 USPS really needs to step it up. Luckily I haven’t had too many issues in the past 2-3 weeks but I’m always a bit nervous about it 😅
