Thanks nice video. I was told there was 365 steps to the top by him who sent me out for a small tin of tartan paint. What do you reckon? Rmb5*

What a gorgeous spot of the world ! I can imagine myself living there, not necessarily in a castle, just a little house & owning such beautiful scenic lands would be a dream ! The castle must have been amazing in it's day - thank you for your very intersting video ! While the life of the wealthy was always so much better than the poor, life in that era was dangerous for all souls, but humans with the funds have built such great places over the years ! It's nice to dream of the same for yourself !

Very interesting - I found it hard to figure out the Scots accent but a great video nonetheless ! This place is just the place you can imagine the local mums telling their kids to stay away from - and of course they would be likely to investigate such dangerous places !!! I always think a posting showing what the place may have looked like when in active use is really nice - many castles do have those, but this one looks very ignored, what a shame !
@explorewithgraeme8 ай бұрын
Hi thanks for watching your probably right about local mums telling kids not to play here as dangerous lol as for showing a pic of what it might have looked like well that’s a good idea I may do that on my next one as there is pics online that show what it might have looked like I can post that pic during the video thanks for the idea 🙏

Totally amazing how huge this castle is - the rooms just go on & on ! I enjoy seeing little areas where you can still see the limewash hanging on a few stones - so you know they were nicely decorated in their heyday & had the comforts of the wealthy like thick carpets on walls & floors & of course always the huge fires going - that must have been a huge task to keep them all going & getting the firewood too - no wonder it took many dozens of people to keep a castle working !!! Must have looked gorgeous then ! This one also has quite a few toilet cubbyholes, which you don't see normally - just one in a corner somewhere in most castles !
