The olympics are nothing but a bourgeois dick measuring contest. A thinly veiled marketing campaign. Give the laborers who make it happen and the homeless displaced by the damn thing the medals. Land back free Palestine, workers stand with the oppressed peoples of the world, unite!

We need a time stamp. Empathizing for a top agent of state was top notch cringy. I wish black people would give their sympathy to people copmala victimized in California. 1 would the kids that committed suicides due to their parents being put in jail for truancy.

No child committed suicide because their parents were locked up for truency because ZERO parents actually got locked up under that rule! There was maybe one arrest and that's it. Not to say the policy was good, but let's not just lie. 😩

Amber, you are going to vote for Kamala no matter what huh? Love the insight and the show!! How do you demand in politics today?? And how do you leverage your vote in 2024 given our long history of not demanding a thing?? How do you get a sponsored state funded representative to speak in terms of revolution when their ultimate goal is to be funded and sponsored by the state???

This hurt to listen to. We don't have any good understanding of what confronts us. It's more like comparison a bow and arrow and a pistol. That's the mistake we make. Not only do we not get that dems are dangerous but we don't know how dangerous they are. They really not different from the Republicans when it comes to us. They play captive political understanding. And amber never Ed's to admit that the Republicans are a third party they overran the whog party early on. So 3rd party is realistic. But people collectively need to be organized and serious about that 3rd party. I'm scared Amber's take is a defeated one. We tried that route since abolition

Perlmutter who was one of the founders of MCU is an Israeli who served in the military during the six day war. In the new book MCU, they talked about how Iron Man actually was going to be critical of US involvement in Middle East but the state department did not approve. Though the director was able to sneak in some hints of that.

First of all Saludos querida Clsudia❤. For years I didn’t vote in the US. I simply lived here as a permanent resident not even considering going for US naturalization. One day on the bus an African American lady asked who I was voting for, and I responded that I didn’t vote because I was not a citizen. And this lady gave a l e c t u r e on how isolated I had chosen to be while benefiting from all the resources available to us All, resulting from years of struggle and activism, like the struggle for the right to vote. Since then (my children were school aged still, and they’re grown men now with children already) … since the I’ve been voting for the lesser of two evils. I voted for Clinton, Obama and Biden. I’ve been exercising my right to vote. When Kamala took front stage a few days ago I said to myself am I again voting for the lesser of two evils? 🤔 tough question yes! My three year old granddaughter will grow up, unlike me, seeing herself in the mix as female and Afro descendant, if Kamala walked into the White House come January 2025. So we have evolved in that sense. Those in power find it necessary to take advantage of the advances of our human race and continue to play with us. Not only is Kamala a woman of color. She’s running to be our first female president and she’s talking about a woman’s right to choose and people of the same sex getting married, Unions and so on. Why can they play around with us like that? Because we are not organized. I’ve worked all my life for community-based organizations with the vision to advance ourselves. I must sadly admit that the main obstacles in achieving our goals is Us! The same fight for Power eats up our leaders who can not truly represent us. It all becomes about “giving” to the community while entertaining personalities who … are really for the LGBTQ community? the immigrants, drug users … you name it! I’m willing I’m determined actually to continue to believe in our power to change. I’ll continue to support any causes that bring about change. I’ll always tell my grandchildren the truth of who they are and why there ain’t no one whatsoever they should let step over them. We need to face the realities in our communities. People working tons of jobs trying to make ends meet. People believe what they watch on TV and that’s all they can do after work besides getting drunk in many cases. The difference between us , social justice people, and the people in power is that not only are we not organized. We’re just like the new Black bourgeoisie. We have to declutter; we have to unlearn like really unlearn a LOT of stuff. Meanwhile our people continue to think the Dollar is the God and won’t listen to our narrative. We have to make the narrative work in the heart of the community. While we are isolated, working to survive and being exhausted the choice continues to be to vote for the lesser of two evils. This time though, take advantage of those four years to continue pushing the agenda of change. Real change, understanding that we are not there yet We need to know that when we talk about a movement we have to constantly check ourselves and the stage we’re at in this life battle for what is right. I commend you Claudia and Karina. It is a reaffirmation of the need to change from deep within. It’s hard work because the people - el Pueblo needs to understand what we are talking about. It has to make sense. It requires what you are doing - not giving up. It’s also important to know that people are very confused this time around in the whole world

Family, we must do critical analysis, not superficial. Firstly, Kamala Harris doesn't "hate" us, however she is a Politician, Jackie. I would say Trump along with his White Nationalist Racist Trump base do indeed "hate us" as we already have a "body count " due to them, plus their "promise" there will be violence in the coming Trump second presidency. I am from California, and Kamala has always been Black, sorry Jackie, White Nationalist Trump is wrong with his chauvinist conclusion as to her being non Black. And Kamau Franklin, she is addressing "material " needs, as she expanding middle class, eliminating child poverty , and "never going back" to the Jim Crow days in Amerikkka, along with making CRT "legal" etc. I suggest people re listen to her speech again. Bottom line, she is a Politician, not Malcom, Martin, or Kwame Ture, etc, but this unprecedented Kamala enthusiasm, stems from Black people and the masses rejecting Raw Fascism Racism from a coming Trump presidency. Better to engage with corporate Democrat Politician like Kamala, and leverage the political energy that we have as a mass movement, to get some of our just demands. This can be "one" of the strategies/techniques we can use in our struggle for true Liberation, but not the "only" one. Peace!

I have had issues in the past with the Martin Luther King and Professor Xavier comparison because MLK was non violent while the X-Men were a militia. With that being said, Comparing Xavier to a Zionist is on the complete other side of the spectrum. In the more recent comics Cyclops could easily be seen as a Zionist.

the Olympics were amateur. And it was envisioned by the elite upper class. They didn't want "working athletes" (those that play and have to get paid) to "sully" their games. The rules were changed by the IOC because many developing nation-states and those of the soviet bloc were circumnavigating that rule by the 1950's. The US was one of the last nation states to allow professional athletes to compete by almost a decade and in ad-hoc fashion depending upon the sport.

Mutanda does remind me of the current state of U.S. politics (circular arguments, illogical machinations, etc.). Right you are, Robert! Now, let's move on from this tired lack of US men's soccer talent, since Mutanda himself "doesn't care about the lack of quality in the US game". 🙄 If I want word salads and revisions of history, I can tune into the Kamala Harris campaign. Next show: Mutanda cannot start/dominate the show's discussion. Thanks.

Newsflash to this morning's panel, authentically Black Kamala Harris is overwhelmingly the African community's choice for President, as it's not a "Identity Politics " thing it's simply they see the danger of unleashed Fascist Racist pogroms, needs to be checked by blocking proud Fascist Racist Trump from regaining the presidency. Final point, I respect and love all the women on the panel today, but I also believe, we as Black Men and people, should also defend our Sister Kamala Harris, from Racist and disrespectful actions by White Nationalist Racist Trump power base. Peace!

Black people are the ONLY ones who falsely believe they everyone with darker skin identifies as a Black or related Colored person. The fact that her and her party are actively trying to garner votes BASED on the fact that she has dark skin aka she is “black” makes her marriage to a white male without taking his white sounding name to avoid being disavowed by the very black community she low key pretends to be a part of is very relevant. Hey 👋 folks I totally agree to totally disagree with "MADPMO" interpretation about the system is doing what it's supposed to do in that she's absolutely 💯 % correct & at the same exact time she is dead ⚰️ Black 💣Man wrong👌🏻; Cause in fact the system is not built on a equal basis for all, only for the "Caucasian🤷Persuasion" baby does it work remotely fairly, if that were not the case then why do the Caucasian👴persuasion some how manage to make sure when a Black citizen is up for trial, why a "ALL LILLY WHITE JURY" & the Attorney's allow it over & over & over again, with only some few exceptions, & even if one is their, usually they just go right along with the fiasco 👉⚖️👌🏻, if you know what I mean🤷; Only the "OJ's" with a big👉💰bag can mostly get some justice ⚖️ maybe, & yes I do understand that some cases are won by the everyday citizens, but one can be sure it's rare👌🏻; & if the Capital ⚖️ system does not work, then none of it works especially if one is Black, now in my imagination & opinion she is rightly wrong when she says the system is doing what it does in that fact she is absolutely 💯 % correct, cause it's been doing a job on Black folk forever, right along with the "Constitution" 😮 which in truth when fully broke down us Black folk just ain't included fully 👌🏻, you guys should discuss the differences some time, cause it's a game that's been played way to long, just like our court system 😉 ⚖️🤷👌🏻!!! Amen & Amen & Amen 🙏!!!

I think this was excellent analysis debunking a common and ridiculous idea. I'm a transgender American anti-zionist Jew and I want to talk about Jewish Americans connections with the history of comic books. Comic books are extremely important to me and to many Jewish Americans. They are usually stories about people who have to hide their identies and don't fit in with others, but the story seeks to empower these individuals to find a balance and be proud of who they are and what makes them different. As a grandchild of holocaust survivors I have never supported Isreal's reactionary and genocidal politics towards Palestinians and I think portraying comic book stories as "Isrealis fighting Palestinians" is fucking obscene. I have loved X-Men since I was kid and Magneto is my favorite character. I always interpreted him as plainly as possible: a Jewish American immigrant who doesn't support assimilation into white Christian American hegemony. Later X-Men did adopt many allegories from gay experiences in America (mutants discover they're mutants during puberty, their parents are ashamed of them, etc.) Y'all did a fantstic job mentioning some of the main inspirstions behind Magneto; most of which I already was aware of. That a lot of Magneto character was disgusting Zionist propaganda and I've of course heard many times the comparisons of Malcolm X. I obviously appreciate your debunking of the Malcolm X myth if I haven't made that clear. Malcolm X and Magneto have completely different life experiences and ideologies and I always thought it was weird to conflate the two. What I wish was discussed a little more is the Jewish American experience and why superhero stories are so Jewish. I have hated how comics have become more and more used as American military propaganda and much of the Jewishness of the stories are erased(except for Magneto, who is always Jewish still in the movies cuz he's a villian). It's been really hard to see how stories and characters that have meant so much to me as a gay/trans Jew have been twisted or were even originally written with pro-Isreali, anti-Black and pro-American imperialist perspective. I feel like what is missing in this analysis because you touched on Zionism and Jewish identity(because that is what gives Magneto depth as a character) is a more nuanced approach to comics generally. Jewish people have had many internal conflicts within our community and the greatest one at the moment is obviously whether you are pro or anti Isreal. Jewish people internationally need to hear from people in our countries that we are important to this culture because that is anti-zionism. Comics are considered to be one of the only original art forms from America(the other I know of being Jazz from Black Americans) and they are predominantly Jewish in origin and themes. Anti-Zionism is more than being Pro-Palestine, you have to fight the narrative that "Jews belong in Isreal", that "Isreal is the safest place for Jews." By giving only criticism to comics and the Jewish creators behind them it reinforces the narrative to many Jews that "we are not wanted here" and helps to promote Zionism. I feel it is vital to the Palestinian cause to continue to learn from anti-zionist Jews about what can actually help fight Zionist propaganda. Anyways! Just my thoughts as a Jewish comic book nerd! (Also I fucking love Malcolm X and it's always annoyed me that people have such a shallow understanding of his politics) oh and fuck Stan Lee
