    Great Video! Btw the 1+2,2 Taunt set up is absolutly real if they techroll even if they Backdash after. It's quite difficult to tho however due to the new running animation you cant just run up taunt like in t7 with bryan's old 3+4 knd. This goes for most of Bryans Taunt Set ups outside the wall in t8. You also get the same float option with a run up d/b+2 after the 1+2,2 knd like in t7 if they hold back to get up, so it's even more of a mindgame. So yeah the Taunt is guaranteed if they tech, it's just even trickier to do in t8 because of the running stance changes that gives you a grab now if you taunt. I tried this with all Chars in Practice Mode to confirm btw. Also Tekken King that's huge! :D

Something so useful about seeing someone else go through a similar learning process.

    That sidestep cancel out of backsway has got me experimenting with d1+2 string/cancel to sway, 1+2,1 of course and qcf cancel into normal/command grabs to go with SS2,1. I use uf3 in the neutral as well when the opponent is at the wall, same rewards as b4 while covering distance pretty quickly and more safe than running 3.

  • @jebuscrust9875
    @jebuscrust98756 күн бұрын

    if I were to guess, the grabs might also be an attempt to ch fish in general as well as beating powercrush. since they're i12 they're at the same speed as t7 magic 4, and the generic grabs are homing

    One thing to mention is that while you cannot hit confirm df2,1 in neutral, on punish it gives you +8 advantage if you do backsway. That means it guarantees a mix-up afterwards. I don't know if there's a very precise way for the opponent to beat every option out of backsway, but you can hit confirm the 4 in qcb2,4, and then you can soccer kick OTG. If done properly and the opponent wants to get out, it leads to 60-70 damage out of an 13f punish.

  • @BustaNAugusta

    What do y’all think about Bryan’s hit and hurt boxes? His hit boxes seem to be super precise/tight while his hurt box feels bigger than the bears. Non-Bryan content creators talk about him being a keep out character with very long range. I almost always find myself being the one getting counter hit and launched when using 3+4, f4 and df4. Opponents have moves that seem to have “phantom range” on Bryan. Lee’s ff3 doesn’t even touch you but you get hit or block it and get pushed back. I wonder if any of you notice this too?

  • @beaucanadien4836
    @beaucanadien48367 күн бұрын

    i like to use df2 1 string you can hold back to go into back sway i find this helped alot when trying to fish for CH. I feel like his it boxes are pretty lenien, the B2, 1 or even 1+2

  • @BustaNAugusta
    @BustaNAugusta7 күн бұрын

    @@beaucanadien4836I’m gonna lab using the back sway cancel out of df2,1. I use punch parry after df2,1 because almost everyone I play against jabs immediately nearly every time especially on block. As for Bryan’s hitbox, there’s a ridiculous amount of moves and characters that crush/evade Bryan’s mids. I’ve had orbital whiff on several characters up close who are doing crouching lows, like Leroy’s homing low sweep, Lee’s slide and his db3/4. Yesterday I had 3 different Steve players go under b4, f3, df2 and standing 3 while in peekaboo stance. That’s on top of Steve already being able to do his low sweeping punches and avoid orbital. Meanwhile Bryan gets clipped in the neutral and at range by the majority of the cast. His back sway and slither step doesn’t have the high or mid crushing that Paul’s sways, or King/Mishima wavies have. I’ve been focusing on playing Bryan as a timing and spacing change up character, his “keep out” gets easily overshadowed by almost everyone. I have more success fighting in the pocket, I think many other Bryan’s do too from what I see. It just sucks when so many moves whiff inexplicably and your opponents’ connect inexplicably.

  • @radumotrescu3832
    @radumotrescu38327 күн бұрын

    I have this exact same feeling. People keep trying to tell me to use 3+4 or orbitals for keep-out, but they all get CH by the most random stuff, because they are so slow to start. That might have been a good tactic in T7, but with a lot of characters having advancing strings, FF2, instant WR moves etc, it feels like Bryan has to hold back and force a whiff punish first, or slow the game down to a point where 3+4 and other keep out moves are effective. But, if you want some of that keep-out juice, try using QCB1 more. That move is insane, it has amazing recovery on whiff, and if you mix it with his mids it becomes terrifying to play against him. It seems like most of his CH game died for QCB1 to be born.

  • @BustaNAugusta
    @BustaNAugusta7 күн бұрын

    @@radumotrescu3832Big facts! I get df2’d by many characters when using 3+4, heck I’ve seen it happen to Von recently. We’re at tip range using 3+4 and we get launch by moves that are meant for range 0 attacks, I don’t get it lol. I use qcb1 a lot! I also get it stepped and ducked a lot too lol. I’ll use it 2-3 times in rapid succession to push folks to the wall or catch over aggressive folks coming in. I play several of the fundamentals based characters, none have to block and be as patient as Bryan and they all have panic moves. I really feel that Bryan is still going through a slight identity crisis. He’s not a keep out character or a counterhit specialist. His counterhits hurt like a mofo, but he doesn’t posses as many as say Nina, Azu, King, Law, Feng etc. Hatchet and soccer kick shouldn’t be punishable, there’s countless lows across the roster that are much better in regards to ease of execution, frame startup, frame advantage, combo utility and follow up options…but those characters aren’t gettin punished like Bryan does for all of his lows (wall splatted and launched by Kaz). Also qcf1, why is that launch punishable 🤣? But yea brotha, we Bryan mains have to literally use every bit of tech/traps we can find on top of needing to have top level matchup knowledge.

    @@BustaNAugusta lol I feel that. Last week I got launched by Paul df2 and Jin df2 from range 4 because I pressed 3+4. And yeah, even King has more counterhit pressure now, while keepout is generally weaker in T8. It doesn't feel like Bryan is any archetype right now, much like Steve

    Against Alisa: you learned to duck 3,2 followup. That’s great. They spammed it a lot. Chainsaws b2,1 is -3 on block force crouch. You let them press i11 high chainsaw every time. You can ws4 to beat everything or northern cross CH on read as the chansaw has many hits. b3+4 is still launch punishable in T8. You were just too far away. But if they do the followup you only get a float. So use a launcher that also floats. If you fail to react to it, you can of course step the followup too (as you did), but good Alisa players never press the followup. At tip range have to be a bit careful. This Alisa was never pressing long range mids. You can duck + launch d3 and DBT 3 and running 2. Have to force them to use the mids, which give away their turn. Also they seemed to love pressing the plus on block high after d3 slide. Duck launch if they are predictable. Also you never duck launched df1,1,1+2. It’s mid, high, high(s). +8 on block to chainsaws. Tricky to punish normally, buy you can northern cross it, like the other high chainsaws if you duck under them. Or just do any generic FC low poke to avoid the +8 chainsaw situation. Chainsaw (DES 1) i13 mid is -9. The one where she saws with boths hands for long time. Take your turn after it. On hit the flying ground hitting double chainsaw is guaranteed in T8 (in T7 you could ground roll it).
