    I knew this was gonna be some bullshit. Nothing justifies having 4 million illegal Haitians in DR. They’re our historical enemies, they reproduce 5x more than us, and displace our women and children from the hospitals and schools. You also need to be respectful of the nuances. They don’t like us, a lot of us don’t like them. Period.

    Hello, I really like your channel. I do have question? A friend is buying property near Punta Cana , and I think he is being taken for a ride. Because just for the land alone he has to pay $130, 000 . And he says that he has 4 years to build on the property, or it reverts back to the sellers? Is that common there in PC? Because I live in the capital , Santo Domingo , and i never would have signed a contract like that! Plus i believe has over paid for the Property. He also was using the sellers lawyer instead of having his own which i believe was a mistake and, a conflict of interest. In any case he has already paid $80, 000 so far is is bring the balance at the end of this Month. I wish he had gotten in touch with you when i sent him your channel months ago. But, i will keep you in mind. for the future. Thanks

    HI Bridgett(neighbor), Love your videos, You are using the word Mortgage Insurance, instead of Home Insurance, They are 2 different kinds of insurance when purchasing a home, just in case anyone from the States or Canada gets confused, Home insurance protects you in the event of loss to your home or liability, and (private)Mortgage insurance protects the bank in the event a borrower stops paying their mortgage or defaults. In the States the bank would only require mortgage insurance in the event a borrower puts less than a 20% down payment. keep the videos streaming, thank you for the great content.

  • @keyring86
    @keyring86Күн бұрын

    @@carmelitahogan5300 hi there. Typically here you're renting from an individual. That's been my experience. Depending on the landlord you'll be expected to pay one or two months deposits,plus the first months rent. They'll also expect you to pay for the contract to be notarized. That's usually around $40 or so. It's pretty easy. Some may ask you for proof of income as well.

    @@carmelitahogan5300 my first apartment the landlord kept the utilities in her name and we just paid the bill. The second two places I've lived we put the utilities in my husband's name. We just needed ID and a copy of the lease I believe. I think we also paid a fee to get connected.

    idk seems a little hypocritical for a habitual law breaker here and the United States(speeding) to be pointing the finger at someone else breaking the law. do you think someone watching you speed influenced them to accelerate? maybe. her offering sounds like she's just being proactive trying to go on her way. the amount really dosent matter. also, you said yourself that you could just be like "I dont have cash" and refuse to do so. so is it a REAL problem. do you think said officer(if new) never heard of bribery or was he planning on being top flight officer of DR making changes for a whopping $500 US? maybe but making a whole video on it is a little much imo but it is your channel.

    I absolutely 100% agree that "offering" a bribe contributes to corruption. But simply paying a bribe "solicited" does not. It goes to what you said is the officers intent. If he had no intent to ask for a bribe and you offer it, you corrupt him. If he already asked for the bribe and you paid it was solicited meaning his he was already corrupted. I like you have a lead foot and have been stopped maybe a dozen times as was SOLICITED for a bribe every single time. I have paid it every single time except once because I didnt have my wallet and no cash. However as it is not my desire to pay, I knew 1000% I was guilty of speeding on the highway and what I paid I was going to pay no matter what, either to the office or the bank. SO do I want to live in that wonderful world in the DR like you, yes. But I dont have the patience or energy to make it come true and my time is more valuable. And yes I too know how corrupt the country is, although I dont complain on facebook. Overall a great video and keep up the good work

My wife as well as members of her family who are born and raised in el Cibao have said on many occasions that givng the officers un chin pesos is a way of life, expected, not viewed the same way as here in the States. Upload the law first and foremost, take the dam ticket and go pay, this is the problem with foreigners always flashing $, ruining the economy. No wonder the Spanish, Italian and most European countries are protesting about foreigners and I’m not talking about illegals these are white/black any kind of tourists.
