fun fact: peach trees actually grow in late june through early august!! so for mitski to name the song "first love / LATE spring" actually adds onto the lyric "the night breeze carries / something sweet, a peach tree" spring usually lasts through august and may, and since mitski mentioned the peach trees whilst theyre growing in june, the "late spring" part is *heavily* accurate in this case. late june is when spring actually ends, but mitski could be referring to the very late stages of spring (june 17-19th) and when those peach trees begin to bloom and grow right before summer hits
