09 is my favorite, then 2014, i like the older ones too but at that time i prefered duke and doom over wolfenstein and their style was so close i couldnt get into wolfestein as much at the time. Return to castle is a hidden gem too

I think you're missing the point with Serious Sam. When it came out 23 years ago, it took the FPS genre by the balls. It was way cheaper than better known games. It had it's own gaming engine. And back then the graphics were gorgeous. You seem to be comparing a 23 year old game to modern day standards in FPS. It never took itself seriously. It was never meant to be clever or meant to challenge your intellect. It was a simple shoot the crap out of everything that comes at you. Simple. Yes there were many secrets to be found. Also a great easter egg in the first level. Just the sheer size of the levels were groundbreaking. So comparing it from a modern day standpoint is erroneous.

I give Jake Paul a lot of flack and not KSI. The reason for this is straightforward KSI admits that he is a KZread boxer while Jake says he wants to become a World Champion and fight Canelo. Jake's record is outstanding as a KZread boxer and even better than KSI's. But if Jake thinks fighting people that he is fighting will help him accomplish his goal, he is very wrong.

I really don't understand why people hype up Jake's fights anymore. It's the same thing every time. He picks fights against guys who are either naturally lighter than him, significantly older than him, and/or guys who are not boxers at all. And for some reason people think that Jake will lose lmao. It kinda shows how idiotic the combat sports fanbase is; they are the reason why Jake Paul is able to sell these shitty PPVs and make people believe he's taking hard fights.

I’m sorry to both Ksi and Jake but they can’t beat Tommy. Ksi only made it so far against Tommy because his style was impossible to train against and Tommy had to learn fighting against it from zero in the ring. If Ksi fights him again the fight would be way different than before for Tommy’s favor. And Jake wasn’t even close to even rivaling Tommy in the fight. It was a complete domination by Tommy.

I wouldn’t call it embarrassing. It was a pretty good fight and Mike at moments amazed me to how he was still standing. However tbf on fight night Jake was probably like 40 pounds bigger as he struggled to get to 200 tbh. So it was kinda unfair.

Don't get me wrong I love Rip and Tear and The Only Thing They Fear Is You. But At Doom's Gate will in my opinion forever be the DOOM Slayer/DOOM series main theme. Because it's 1st song in the entire series that introduces you to DOOM!!!!!!!!

I’m still frustrated by the lack of ammunition in Eternal. Compared to 2016, we don’t have the pistol with infinite ammunition, max ammunition is severely reduced, ammo pickups give a smaller refill, and to top it off, we can’t even do melee damage to save on ammunition!

One thing I’d disagree with you on is you said “the uac bases feel lived in making the game more immersive”(something along those lines) and you went on to say but doom eternal doesn’t give me the same feel with the environment. I totally disagree man. I love both games but doom eternal environment is so fucking awesome, like when you first step outside on earth and you see all the destroyed skyscrapers and massive chasms going to earths core. And then you see the giant titan demon bound in chains trudging through the lava. It just gives such a tremendous feel of the destruction of earth and humanity. Shows you how helpless humans were and how doomslayer is the last hope.

Fun fact: this was the first time I paused a game and began making plan, i asked my mom to draw a map of the level (btw just to make it clear, my mom didn’t let me use the printer, but she is an artist, that’s why I asked her) and I stared thinking of a route to kill the cyberdemon, this was the first and last time I did this in any game

If I played it back in the day i probably would have liked it. However , past ten years I’ve tried to get into it and , well, I just get bored. Same with half life 2. I respect its contributions but that’s about it.

I kinda HATE the Doom Eternal art style. NGL. I LOVED Doom 2016. It was perfect in so many ways. Sure, Doom Eternal's gameplay is better but everything else including character movement was just better in 2016. Thankfully the art style in Doom: Dark Ages looks amazing.

🙄Texture resolution does not equal level of detail. It doesn't work like that, if anything, it works in reverse. Increasing the resolution arbitrarily - only accentuates how bland everything is. Resolution is co-dependent on a level of that it can portray without omitting things (when too low) or detracting from the design (when too high). And the level of detail, in turn, depends on the ratio of ornamentation + set pieces divided by level space. As an example, take the difficulty selection area in Quake 1. Everyone is familiar with it. That area is highly detailed, relative to the small space of it. If we make that area 10 times the size - it will no longer be highly detailed, it will be bland. Same thing happens with textures, level architecture and level detailing - when resolution is increased far beyond the level of detail that it can facilitate. Bottom line: this looks very bad, and for multiple reasons.
