Using ohm's law (remember that?) P=IE or power=current (I) x voltage (E). A typical car alternator charges around 14.4 volts (E). Current depends on demand, and output capacity varies between the approximate range of 60 to 160 amp range. So on the low end 60 x 14.4 yields 864 watts, and on the high end 160 x 14.4 yields 2304 watts. I know of no automotive alternator capable of 10000 watts. For a visual look at the physical size of a 10kw generator. Still it's a realistic project.

You could increase the slternator/wind rotor RPM ratio by interposing some sort of multiplying gears or, cheaper still, a bicycle chain and sprocket between rotor shaft and alternator.

I call bullshit on the 10kw figure, 1) most large saloon car alternators run around the upper end of 150 amps on the higher end, most are around the 110 amps, sure there are others out there that can run higher, but if we do the math of 13volt x 150 amps we get 1950w, hell even an 24v trucks alternator only produces 7000ish watts...2) if you ran 10kw through those wires they would melt quicker than a snowman on the surface of the sun. Other than that I really like the conversion because its using stuff readily available to anyone to produce a fairly cheap mode of transport, and i'm all for that.

Good idea but safety is first periority, make the solar panel in such as way that if air strom or hailstrom occure than it will fold and then cover with metal sheet. Also solar tracker and washing of solar panel technology should be included.
