  On the one hand you cannot take away from Stevens. He is in superb physical condition (gym) and fought with courage and vigor. But ... Stevens fails when it comes to his wisdom and maturity. Gennadiy Gennadyevich doesn't possess the bulk and sculpting of Stevens and is subdued and inscrutable in his demeanor. But Golovkin exceeds in cold determination backed up by scholarly application of the sweet science of boxing. The takeaway is that Stevens did not belong in the ring with Golovkin but WE cannot say that because the ring is where you pay your price of freedom.

  Something sublimely satisfying in the pugilistic art when a cocky opponent meets reality. Stevens says he is not afraid, asks, 'Who is afraid?' I'll bet when Steven gets back in the ring with Gennadiy Gennadyevich he will have the answer.
