My name is James, AKA “No Limb Jim”. I became a bilateral BKA (Below the Knee Amputee) on February 8, 2022 as a result of a simple mitral valve surgery that went catastrophically wrong. My fingers on my right hand were amputated in June 2022, and those on my left hand were amputated in July 2022.
I am now a dodecaamputee.
This channel is intended to document my journey and to help others who are facing amputation or have already become amputees. Ask questions in the comments and I will do my best to answer them.

Can you get customized seating and seat belts with this even if added at extra expense...
(Wheelchair user here) This device would allow me to stay living in my home because o how remote and all terrain it is, and how many steps there are all around, and I can’t get a ramp for outside. So only option is going up/down the stairs with a stair lift, and have a second wheelchair, but none that fit me very well. This would be incredible! I just started watching your videos, but wishing you the best with everything!

What is the average life of one of these chairs
I've had mine for 2 months and love it. The only issue I had was the seat made a lot of squeaking/crackling sounds. I solved this by putting a little lubricant on the top of the seat post and the seat post hole. It didn't take much and it removed all the noise in the seat.
