CAT = LIVE
CAT saved my daughter’s life last month. I don’t go anywhere without one.
Will the chitosan gauze have an allergic reaction to those with shellfish allergies
Ha, like anyone going have that in an emergency. Gonna be a random peice of cloth
Good thing this is an instructional for the product. And the message is still the same, make sure there is pressure around the appendage, not just on one side
Situation dependant, if you don't have a medkit, you are just being dumb... I carry a small trauma kit with me while I climb, bike, or work erecting steel
You should have at least one trauma kit that you usually keep with you, and it'd would be extremely smart to have 3 trauma kits, one for home, one for your vehicle, and one that you can take with you. Not having a tourniquet in those trauma kits, or not having a trauma kit in general is just dumb.
I keep one in my glove compartment. I'd recommend anyone keep some level of first aid in their vehicle.
I carry one in the medkit on my bike. Life saving equipment you'd wish you had if you needed it.
Are hemostatic gauze & other bleed-stopping coagulants safe to use on post-CABG patients?
…and don‘t forget the possible exit wound.
Literally every chest seal sold by north american rescue has two, one for entry, one for exit
Excellent
I learned something new today. Thank you.
Outstanding boys 👌
Do you sell the kit empty? I just like your organization but your price is ridiculous for the entire kit
:D
I've seen CATs used to hold vehicle doors closed,, but I've never seen one hold a tail boom together hahaha
It's too big, sorry.
🤮
High and tight as per uge got it
First aid has changed so much since I was a young EMT in '85.
What's happening? Is ww3 about to kick off why am getting recommended these? I will watch i will study but I'm going to forget i will need youtube to do this for real
I used to spend a ton of time watching completely useless KZread videos, and then I started watching these instead. Learning emergency response could be a fun and interesting hobby for you that could save someone's life someday.
This Hunter guy sounds like a real jerk...😒😑
High and tight, ALWAYS.
Try delivering pizzas.
I see both vented and non vented chest seals available. When do you use one vs the other?
What does it matter if you have a tourniquet effect if it was bleeding worse it would get a tourniquet anyway? No?
Very cool NAR I’m excited to see more of this out in the field, where life saving medical professionals are increasingly more and more at risk these days, as our society rapidly crumbles into a void where empathy and morality simply do not exist anymore
Yes Sir 🫡
If I am a certified EMT but are not currently employed at an ambulance company, am I able to buy devices such as a needle decompression?
Some of these restrictions are not appropriate (I realize as company this my be out of your control). Anyone who is or has ever been CPR trained should be able to purchase a BVM. Getting an individual air when they are unable to do so on their own should never ever be regulated by the government. Forces people to buy inferior products from China or "training" equipment, which may indeed cost a life.
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, as an FDA regulated medical company, we don't get to make the rules for which items are Rx and which aren't. The positive side is that people can know that our products are manufactured to meet the quality standards for medical use (as opposed to unregulated imports, etc).
@@Narescue01 Thank you for your reply. I am a big proponent of your products and do have faith in the quality and ability of said products. Your reputation is known and respected world wide. I completely understand that as a company you have to follow the rules and you should. Just blows my mind the government thinks it's ok (and we have allowed them) to regulate breathing.
Explains why those popped up st the local airport.
This stuff is worth its salt!
Personally I would develop a system utilize NFC+barcode+QR barcode is not a good idea 15 years later
How do you know if you need to do this?
Fire and EMS wearing vests? Whats next, children in school?
Everything about this acronym is frustrating. - Content long since covered in an old acronym (which is being improved on) - The first word in the acronym is the entire acronym - The third letter in the acronym is just the word Rapid - The third letter in the acronym serves no purpose outside of emphasis to the fourth letter in the acronym I was so frustrated that I didn't even notice that suppression was misspelled. When the military is out pacing you; you're not even trying.
Thank you from Ukraine
This is, absolutely, an interesting video but like all the "tacti-cool" kits that have the decompression needles in them, the idea can also present a danger unless the whole story is told, i.e., you have the legal right to do it or can prove there was a necessity because it definitely falls outside the scope of reasonable care. Speaking as an EMT-B in New York, I can also say with confidence that if this is ever performed by anyone outside of a hospital setting and you cannot absolutely, 100% prove that the person was going to die without it, you can count on being sued out of existence, losing any licensing you have, and quite possibly doing jail time - especially if you somehow do it wrong and kill the person or cause them more harm while saving their life. There are convincing arguments made that if you are not qualified to use something, don't even carry it as it could work against you should someone decide to press a lawsuit. In the end, YMMV, and it's up to you - but be informed.
why not just hire armed. trained competent security.
What a breakthrough concept lol
I just carry everywhere, if i cant carry i wont go. I will be the first line of defense, forbidding anything happen when im out
Just make sure no one shoots you thinking that you're the shooter
Now I got plans for the weekend with the boys
Another clever acronym, highlighting all of the essentials learned in combat medical care years prior. Here's another " consensus ". Posting " gun free zone " signs outside of school buildings doesn't prevent violent crimes in those buildings. The dollars spent in developing the " Hartford Consensus " would have been better spent on hardening school security.
Purchase these all the time for Paramedics... finally learning how to use it.
Dont he American or in thay country? Thats the big one, statistically
Currently accepting jobs for powerpoint proofreading experts to help in Threat Suppressiom
Ouch.
Don't apply it to skin. There shoulb be something soft in-between skin and the tourniquet. Besides, don't overdue it. Otherwise you may destroy everything below the application place.
From experience using the bag is a pain because a large amount of people are too tall to get a good seal.
Shocker. Bigger tube works better 😂
Thank you.
fenestrated vs defenestrated
Im here from Rust movie court coverage .
So you don't have to completely bury the needle up to cap in between the #3 & 4?
I would add some Trauma Shears to cut off clothing and hypothermia/space blankets. Military bag should be FDE, OD Green or Multi-cam. Kits used to come with a VS-17 panel to signal as well.
