My problems are not that it is reggae but that it's very poor reggae. Singer and drummer manage it best but overall it is _extremely_ weak. Bass player looks like he's having one of those dreams where you suddenly find yourself walking down the street naked. Nuno may well be the greatest rock guitarist in the World but he sure can't play reggae. Add to that the vomit inducing, tone deaf patronisation of women (it might be funny if it were ironic but it ain't) in this whole enterprise and what we've got is a train crash _KERRANG !_
Ok, sure, the production is very cheesy, and the chords are formulaic to say the least. And yeah, you might also argue that the vocal melody is exceptionally rudimentary and the lyrics are awful. Admittedly the video is very dated looking, and the execution of this genre is bordering on inappropriate cultural appropriation. But not withstanding all that, this is an outstanding piece of work.
I don't understand why people are so critical of Extreme, I mean they're capab..... OH MY GOD I JUST WATCHED THIS TRIPE.
