One thing different between this years team and last year’s team is the head coach. Coach Cal is coming in to prove something with elite talent and Coach Muss was at the end of his contract and had elite talent that didn’t come together as a team.

I hate have everyone has bought into a gimmick offense of 3 point shooting. Remember this, how many NBA teams who primary offense is 3 point shooting have one a championship besides Golden St. won a championship????????? The 3 point shot offense is geared for guards really only? Plus this great 3 point shooting offense now produces big man who can't post up score. No big center or power forwards posting up, no easy points. So when you 3 point shots is not falling it looks likes boring offense of just mindless shooting outside shots. The 80's offenses have balance of inside outstide scoring now we only have one on one players and outside shooters that is rather boring. Plus how many center/power fowards shoot %50-60 anymore? Because they are scoring with their height, length, strength anymore? Pitno coached both ways standard and 3 point gimmicky also, because he can just coach. Plus, look at the 70's and 80's big man why are they getting injured a lot these days with legs/ankle injuries nowdays. I say because they are trying to play like small forwards instead of being on the block and going to work?

I don't understand why fans have in their heads that a guy that may typically make somewhere between 1 to 4 point shots a game is going to make or break the team. Ballo is not a lane clogger, and there is no reason to think that a higher pace team with Rice and Carlyle leading the way that Reneau is going to become TJD 2.0.

And Hunter Dickinson is coming back!! Kansas is loaded (as of April 27, 2024). From what I’ve heard, Griffen is almost a lock to start. It’s been said that there’s no way a guy who was a starter on a Final Four team (Alabama) the previous year would transfer to another program to come off the bench. It’ll probably be Mayo coming off the bench…..but still playing a lot.

So many panicking, negative Duke fans. Im good with every player that's transferring or testing the NBA waters. Im excited about getting Malich Brown and any other player in the Portal that can give productive CONSISTENT minutes. I really don't think Stewart is leaving because he wasn't feeling the Love at Duke either. These guys sit down with their Families and Coaches and make the decisions they think are best for them and rightfully so. I think Shawn would have been nice next season but his choice was to leave, much success to the young man. The season just ended 5 minutes ago and people are panicking 🙄🙄🙄Duke will be fine, I trust Scheyer and his staff.

When we brought in to interviews players for staring positions and advertised it that way, put yourself in the thoughts of our players , I got little pt this and wasn’t developed, what make me think I will next season. So, we traded Our 5 stars that we didn’t develop for 3 tars that someone else played and developed, does that look even smart, not to say is tha the way to treat recruits that a year ago you were praising to hilt? This will certainly hurt our recruiting in the future!

Roach leaving means there is a problem. You can’t have all that talent and not let them see the floor. You get better by playing. Hate to see TJ and Sean leave. Mitchell was inconsistent. With all that said. In Transfers you can see what they can do against elite talent the only problem they have to learn the team scheme. We will be better than ok but this hurts Jon’s rep.

Duke should have won more? In Jon’s first season, Duke was the hottest team down the stretch. Swept UNC, won every home game, won the ACC tournament, and got outtoughed vs Tennessee without our toughest player, Mark Mitchell. In Jon’s second season, Duke was fundamentally flawed because they lacked a 5. Foster got injured late, yet Duke still reached the Elite Eight. A lot of delusional fans expect NCAA titles every year. NEWS FLASH: Both UNC and Duke have one championship since 2011, and two championships since 2006. It’s hard to win it all.
