Thank you very much. I used VNC in the 90s, but these days everyone wants brainless, shiny simplistic app to solve all their problems....

Hello ! since you use sbopkg then the best method to build a package is : sqg -p slapt-src sbopkg -i slapt-src this way you build the package with all its deps if needed... other method is using slpkg, for example just type: slpkg -i slapt-src and it will build it with all its deps also ofcource slapt-get, slapt-src and gslapt are awesome also :)
hello i didn't see your comment i'm sorry thank you for the info
@@ittechni np my friend. Taking the change of dialog here I want to make clear something thats is not clear for most people. slackpkg which is the system package-manager NOT have resolution dependencies because not needed. It not needed because every package in a slackware system is ALWAYS ok and ALL its deps already included in the system. So officially slackware packages builded from distro maintainer only need install or upgrade and thats all. ALL other packages we install them from SBo for slackware stable (aka 15.0) or from ponce repo if slackware -current is the system. Both repos SBo + ponce work with sbopkg or slpkg and full dep resolution supported. if you use sbopkg you need 2 commands sqg -p package_name sbopkg -i package_name IF you use slpkg just one command slpkg -i package_name. just be sure that your are root and not using sudo. :)
dude thank you for your comments your knowledge about slackware is awesome and you are helping a lot!!!! for the dependency resolution i do not have a problem with not having it on slackware slackware is a great underrated distro and although i made those videos i believe i still need to make more so much more interesting content about it is coming hopefully soon
Possible way to install the Nvidia driver on Slackware
that's an interesting task i will need real hardware for it and i do have it but it may not be exactly the same as the viewers' i will try to do it soon so it helps a little thank you for the suggestion, it's really worth it for slackware i didn't forget about it and i have videos for it to upload

what exactly path nextcloud location? we have in /var/snap/nextcloud/ and /snap/nextcloud/ root@lcsvr-storage:/snap/nextcloud/current/htdocs# sudo -u root php ./occ upgrade sudo: php: command not found the major problem is after auto upgrade from 27 to 28, missing groupfolder feature by googling, it is must install apps GroupFolder, after installed, then enabling, showing error " Error: This app cannot be enabled because it makes the server unstable" then disable it by command : nextcloud.occ app:disable groupfolders, suddenly the Nextcloud page blank :(
for the first question did you try the other path?? for groupfolder i didn't face a similar error but i hope this helps: help.nextcloud.com/t/error-this-app-cannot-be-enabled-because-it-makes-the-server-unstable/187557/2

📍While doing this procedure in the video but still getting error like : " CiscoPacketTracer822_amd64_signed.deb was not found in the build directory and is not a URL." 📍Just rename the downloaded file to match the name in the error : For instance I renamed "Packet_Tracer822_amd64_signed.deb" to "CiscoPacketTracer822_amd64_signed.deb" 📍Hope it works :)
the version in the video is 8.2.1 8.2.2 is recently released i made another video where i found a place to download packet tracer without needing cisco credentials and allowing to download older versions(in case they are still not supported by the distro yet) the link for downloading almost any packet tracer is: www.computernetworkingnotes.com/ccna-study-guide/download-packet-tracer-for-windows-and-linux.html the video i made about that was for gentoo check it in the channel i made a video about running packet tracer on wayland you made need it i hope everything works better than intended :)
@@ittechni I was addressing the issue, primarily on the name itself , not the versions . The file from netacad starts with "Packet_Tracer ....." , yay looks for a file like " CiscoPacketTracer ..." Hence even after copying the file to the build folder , it may not be found as evidenced by the error. Renaming the file correctly solves it . Thanks again :) PS: [ I get you & thanks by the way for the resource <3. ]
i see i believe the version change made the name different that's why i mentioned it anytime dude always glad to help

so, its possible to run games and heavy programs with these drivers, like windows?
the answer to your question is yes and no: yes some programs and games will run after installing some compatibility layers and apps (steam, lutris, wine, proton etc) and doing the needed configs no some programs can never since those compatibility layers and configs still can't get them running the simplest way to perceive compatibility between linux and windows is they are like 2 cars one uses diesel let's say it's linux and the other uses unleaded they are not compatible and totally different linux's community are working on making more windows apps and games able to work on linux but we still don't have all windows apps and games compatible with linux
@@ittechni THANKYOU VERY MUCH!. I'll try those step you did on the video on manjaro KDE. your explanation is really good.

Hello. Is it still working?
hi yes it is it may need to be removed and installed again if the modules failed to compile, i did a video how to remove them
update: i updated the system and the drivers broke, i tried reinstalling the kernel and the drivers but they still don't work i'm ready to talk about my experience with nvidia proprietary drivers specially the old ones and on different distros since i tried installing them on multiple ones
update: it was broken because of my mistake which i explained and solved here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/opWW3Kpqp7nVlNI.html
thanks so much i'm using opensuse is really good distro and sold state
you are welcome it's good that you are using opensuse and in fact it is a good distribution
How long did that one take?
from genlop: Sat Feb 10 18:04:40 2024 >>> sys-devel/llvm-17.0.6 merge time: 59 minutes and 45 seconds.
Your video seemed very clear to me. If you don't know which architecture to choose, maybe Gentoo isn't your cup of tea.
i know which architecture to choose and that's not the problem the problem is if some people did not know how to choose i'm happy that the video seemed clear to you but not everyone is with the same level of understanding
@@ittechni I know you can tell 🤪 but for me this type of questions pops up when the people didn't read the manuals. I give you my exemple: you did a bios installation and I made a UEFI, you went for EXT4 and I went for BTRFS. A video it should be a starting point to work on and learn not a panacea for everything. That's the reason your video is so interesting to me. ✌ ✌
hahahahaha the broad selection of options in linux sometimes complicates things and that requires special care for the panicky people who may think that the computer will die if it is for example ext4 instead of xfs and that's why we need to help them undestand
@@ittechni Yes buddy I agree 😁
Thanks for your efforts and listening to comments.. appreciated a lot... btw i have tried everything suggested in that git u shown in video.. That alpha vnc is not available for newer Android version as it made for older version that developer not up-to-date. So no use on that.. But i found scrcpy works great for keyboard input which was the one suggested in that git with adb keyboard.. (only prblm in this, its not really a vnc server, it just share and allow control via screen sharing via adb through usb debugging) There is no vnc yet working with keyboard implementation yet i guess.. watever thanks for the instant reply with another video. good effort keep it up 🙌🏼❤
you are welcome thank you for telling about the status of alpha vnc i hope you got the problem solved and i'm here to help anytime
Instead build-in keyboard (via mouse click one by one) is there any way to use PC keyboard directly ?
this is really an interesting question i will try to find a solution
@@ittechni That's appreciated your response.. As I am using same vnc viewer for my raspberry pi machine , it works with from my windows keyboard.. But for Android its pain to click through mouse one by one letter, So it would be nice if Android too can be controlled by windows keyboard just like other operating system. Kindly let me know if u figured out a way.
anytime i will look for a solution and tell you
