    Heaven and Bundle of Joy were written by Tony LeMans who was on Paisley Park Records so yes not only a heavy Prince influence but two songs from Tony who was also in Mazerati so there ya go! Spirit in my Heart Stevie Wonder for SURE!!

    I loved the album but spirit in my heart was a rip off of stings shape of my heart, listen closely to both. I didnt care for the rock n roll songs on the album or human either

    I have to disagree. All the songs released so far sound very derivative, dull and uninspired. First and second albums were great, but I think it should have been left there.

    Bon Jovi have always been "pop rock" if you consider G&R to be "rock". As for the Bob Rock feedback. I kinda get it. I am not a big fan of Shanks' producing. But Rock has lost a step.

  • @aroundtable4547
    @aroundtable454714 күн бұрын

    Lately Bon Jovi has been leaning very heavily to the pop side. Not that it is a bad thing. But he has a solid band. So I would really enjoy if they went back into the vein of Hey God or If I Was Your Mother. Not A fan of Shanks' producing style either. Bob Rock may not be the greatest anymore, but I am sure he could "push" Jon into something a little more engaging.

    Maybe someone needs to sit in the studio with Motley and tell them 100 times, the majority of your fans want the power and production of tracks like Hooligans Holiday, Smoke the Sky and Uncle Jack while staying true to your roots of Too Fast and Shout. We don’t need AI zombies or bullcrap lyrics that amount to a polished turd. Pretty simple.

    I was a fan of the classic lineup when Dennis was still in the band, but his contributions became more smaltzy as time went on. Cyclorama was a good reinvention of Styx. Many good songs throughout the album, but it falls victim to ‘let’s put as much music as we can on a CD’ fatigue. It probably would have been much better accepted if they had trimmed it down to 45 min., featuring the best songs on the album. Get rid of of the short interlude songs for a start. That would have made for a more cohesive album and a better flowing listening experience, imho.
