I just got accepted as Flight Attendant recently and i've been working like almost 6 months for now and i just couldn't put it into words of how this album explain so much about the feeling of being far away from home where i have to move out living in a different country (i'm from Indonesia and my airline base is in Saudi Arabia which is sooo far away like 9hrs flight), the feeling of longing your loved one when you're lonely, in those big fancy hotel rooms, flying everyday and travelling to a different country every month. It's really nice and think i have a good life that someone might ever wished for but the voids inside my heart is killing me. Especially the official visualizer of Promises, istg that was exactly how i am at the airport when i have to go back to my work base after being home to see my loved one only for couple of days. I wish could stay a little bit longer, i wish i could stay one more night, i wish i could just miss the flight and stay, but i had to go. This album really implicated the struggles of missing home and i'm thanking Luke so much for putting the feelings through these beautiful lyrics

Getting to see you sing your most heartfelt amd beautiful songs to me in chicago made my soul feel again and put that lil spark back in my body to keep going. You make me so happy luke, these songs are so ethereally beautiful and soul connecting. The fact that they tell your story as well as it feels all of ours is so special.
