I'm curious if the rock sound was peaking and causing a more crunched noise.
Hey thanks for carefully listening! As i remember it wasnt peaking, but it was the actual sound of it :)
I am jealous. Here in the US, any tower like that would be behind a locked fence with all sorts of "no trespassing" signs. Great job Jonas.
Hey Michael, yes it's really amazing that this is open to the public. And your comment makes me appreciate this even more, I never think about it when I go there. So thank you for watching and your comment!
love it bro
Hey Dodo, merci viumau! Ds fröitmi sehr vo dir zghöre <3
Jonas- great ~=)
Thank you so much! :)
How does this not have atleast 10k views
Thank you for your comment! Really appreciate you liked it.
Good tips as always dude! I think finishing songs and going through the full process even if the outcome isn't as good sounding as you want it to be is HUGELY important. I've noticed myself that there as certain elements that I'm not super confident in, but am improving on by just doing them and being satisfied that I tried to get through them - even if it's not perfect. That being said, I am sitting on like 5 tracks that I haven't released yet because I keep plugging away at them lol 😬
Thanks a lot mate :) Happy you liked it. Yes, i think to improve it really helps to always go all the way through the process. It's also very rewarding to finish something I guess and can be a really nice boost of motivation going forward. Hehe nice, let me know when you released them. Looking forward to hear it!
@@JonasFasching SO rewarding! So true about the deadlines too, such a good tip and one I often forget about. Thanks homie, I'll be sure to send em your way :)
I recently forced myself to go thru a couple of 1TB hard drives of my past music work and discovered I have almost 157 songs that are either half finished or a case of: I have a really good hook recorded but never finished the rest of the lyrics I have a beat or instrumental that I love so much it gives me chills listening to it yet I never wrote lyrics for it I don’t know if I’ll ever see any of them through to the end though ☹️
157 is definitely a LOT! I wish you good luck with all of that and i really hope you can release some of it soon. I really like to listen to instrumentals as well so you could also release them without lyrics. Thanks for watching 🙏
Hey Jonas, thanks for sharing! Good luck for your channel, just subscribed :)
Hey there, thanks for watching! And thanks for the sub too, really appreciate it. :)
Great content. Can I join your team to create eye-catching thumbnails and develop our channel?
Thank you. But i am not interested :) Wish you good luck!
Thanks!
Thanks for watching and you're very welcome :)
man, i miss that first studio <3
Yessir <3 Ig o. Isch super nice gsii
Man your channel is too underrated
Thank you, really appreciate it!
@@JonasFasching you make sick videos and beats with a lot of effort man too bad I won't be able to watch em when the release for the next week
very cool! the music is amazingf, but the filmography is great, too! interesting to see how traffic flows in o5ther parts of the world. I only suggest that you should have chosen a lower speed for the ants, they were moving too fast to compare to the humans. Perhaps get them to travel across the screen at around the same rate, rather than having the same real-world time dilation.
Thank you so much for tuning in! Really happy you liked the music and the video. And great input about the ants. You really made a point here. Great feedback, really appreciate it.
What setup do you need to use the microphone?
@user-Red528Smoke Hey there, thanks for your comment! This mic is powered with +48v and it has a xlr output. So you need some recording device which supports that. I used the MixPre 6 by SoundDevices for that, but you could also use a much cheaper recorder. I really like this mic for experimental field recording!
Now I wanna see you make beets 😋 with your skateboard.😊😊😊😅
:)
Ich finds nice !
Danke! :)
Mega gutes Ding!!! Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland! Kann man dich irgendwie kontaktieren?
Vielen Dank! Schön gefällt es dir 🙏😌 Ja sicher, am besten via Email: jonas(at)jonasfasching.com
Great info i didnt know i needed to know as i approach finishing my first song for my band. I just play instruments and have very little insight into the commercial end of things. thanks!
Awesome, Im happy this helped you a little. I wish you all the best with your band! Happy creating.
Great video with lots of information. It is amazing how you boiled all of the essentials of releasing music into such a short video. And the bonus content was absolutely great. I really appreciate the information about Publishing rights and why joining ASCAP or BMI is necessary. I have listened to so many videos about these subjects and I have come away not really understanding much, and often, even more confused. Your video has clarified the issues, and swept away all of my confusion.
Hey there. Thank you so much for watching and your kind comment. I'm really happy I could shine some light on this topic. I myself struggled a long time to understand this with the publishing rights, and I think there are many artists who would benefit if they would know this. I don't know how the process is to sign up with ASCAP, but in Switzerland with the SUISA it was acutally quite easy and you only pay a sign up fee at the beginning, and then you can start registering your songs. Anyways, I wish you all the best. Stay inspired :)
@@JonasFasching personally, I would appreciate a mention about the process for copyrighting one's songs. As one starts to put one's songs out into the public, I believe it is very important to have one's songs copyrighted, .
Dude!! This is an incredible spot and setup! Not gonna lie, I'm only a tiny bit (a lot) envious haha. Kudos for the tour :)
Hey mate! Thanks a lot for watching :) Yes, i really love it too. Couldn't be more happy with such a nice spot.
That's a good work! You are awesome
Thank you very much!
Hey there, thanks for watching! Two things I wanted to add: 1. It's also possible to release music on Soundcloud and Bandcamp which is free and very easy, and to start with your first Songs this might be also a good idea. In this video I just highlighted the solutions if you want to get your music on a streaming service. But Bandcamp can be a very good alternative as well. 2. The book I mentioned is called "All I Need To Know About The Music Business" and not "Everything..." Check out the link in the description if you haven't found it yet.
👍
Thats cool
Thank you!
The idea was cool! And the filmography is pretty nice! This is a cool video! But dude that beat sucks so much...
💀 why u do him like dat
@@montanacorp He's got the spirit tho
At first i thought its gonna be mid but wow. Underrated fr 🔥

Yeah, nice reference :)
Crazy underrated
Thanks a lot! Really appreciate it.
💯
This guy needs more credit
Thank you so much!
Thats a rlly cool idea!
Thanks! :)
good work
Thank you!
make an echo chamber in the skate park
I once sampled the reverb of the skatepark and used it for a convolution reverb. I made a short about it: Recording Impulse Signals To Use In Convolution Reverbs kzread.infovNjaV92DI48?feature=share But maybe i could make a long video about it :)
you're achieving an incredibly nice sound and mix dude I gotta say. nice choice of percussion and you're managing to record it to a really high quality and then blending that with the electronic aspects really beautifully, very impressive to be honest
Thank you so much for that feedback! Really appreciate it <3
bro is LITERALLY living the dream wtf ?!!! underground bat cave studio NEXT to an underground skatepark ?!!!!
Yes, i love it to be there! It's quite the playground :)
@@JonasFasching bro your life is literally a video game
Really nice spot. Is the skatepark still in use? and do you skate?
Yes it's still in use but there are not a lot of people using it. I use it very rarely, when im there im almost always in the studio. But i used it already sometimes and i like to skate but im not good at all. But i love doing it!
Are you concerned people may break in and steal your equipment?
No, I'm not :)
Man, I love your studio! It’s so cool to be underground like that! Batcave feel for sure! How did you find out about this place? Make a video of how you discovered it please.
Thank you for your comment! Yes, i like it a lot as well. Batcave is a good description haha.
A friend told me that it is empty so i was really lucky :)
ground hum? Then it is the same thing as on the MKE400.
Thanks for your comment! So there is the same problem with the MKE400? Didn't know that...
@@JonasFasching Yes, I bought two and both have the same issue. I returned one. Sennheiser wrote to me saying it was so by design. Nonsensical, none of my other mics (I have a few) has this flaw. I kept one for situations where I dont need to put the camera or recorder on mains power, then the MKE400 is a very nice small mic with big sound.
Fire 🔥
Thank you!
This is amazing bro.. All the way from South Africa🇿🇦 so it kinda reminds me of FKA mash
Hey there, thank you so much! Really appreciate it. Thanks for tuning in :)
**vibing**
Thank you Marc! Keep vibing and thanks for listening
reminds me of the percussion in voyage 34 by porcupine tree
Nice reference! Thank you for your comment :)
Brother, can you recommend us a microphone and reference headphones? We can also use it.
Hey there :) It really depends what you want to use your microphone for. On this video i am using a Shure SM57, and i can definitely recommend that for percussion or other transient-heavy sounds. As for headphones i am using the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO, they are open studio headphones and i really like them. But they are on the expensive side of headphones and beyerdynamic makes also really nice cheaper studio headphones. I also always like to have a second pair of headphones for comparing, and i am using the Sennheiser HD25 since ages for DJ'ing and Listening. And I really got used to them, so its also a good reference for me. They are the headphones you can see in the video.
@@JonasFasching Thank you
Sehr geil! Würde ich gerne remixen wenn es fertig ist 👍👍👍

Awesome ideas, thank you very much! 😎 Daughter's unused Ukulele borrowed for starters... more than a fair trade for my game controller!
Perfect :) There's always an instrument lying around somewhere. Thanks for watching!
