  Ooh La la was the first song that I liked and I had the cassette, I was about 4 or 5 years old at that time, and as a born Muslim from Asian country, it is so wonderful and amazing to have a figure that very close to my heart in the nostalgic sense finally become one of the brother in the Ummah and an 'aaliim nonetheless, so inspiring and heart warming, almost like a beautiful (personal) surprise.. hope I can follow his footsteps and be more steadfast and better Muslim over time and has the consistency/istiqamah... and may Allah protect him and his family, keep him steadfast in his faith and dawah, to always be a role model with full integrity within the community

  As a Boricuan🇵🇷 Muslim growing up in the city I always hated crips and bloods and gd's. They always oppressed my people 🇲🇽🇵🇷🇩🇴🇨🇺🇬🇹🇭🇳 , even though I never joined a gang. I always wanted revenge I looked up to eses. 4 years after accepting Islam I'm dealing with this crap in the ummah. I've decided I'm gonna wear a charlie brown polo shirt to oppose this.   ﴿ ۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُونُواْ قَوَّٰمِينَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ شُهَدَآءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمۡ أَوِ ٱلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ وَٱلۡأَقۡرَبِينَۚ إِن يَكُنۡ غَنِيًّا أَوۡ فَقِيرٗا فَٱللَّهُ أَوۡلَىٰ بِهِمَاۖ فَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ ٱلۡهَوَىٰٓ أَن تَعۡدِلُواْۚ وَإِن تَلۡوُۥٓاْ أَوۡ تُعۡرِضُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرٗا ﴾ [An-Nisāʼ - 135] O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do.
