I'm growing freeform locks and they're still in the process. I've got about 10 dreads. I've used dolly locks shampoo from the start and it's great stuff. Can I still use the oil while I'm still in the early stages or will it prevent locking? My hair often looks very dry and I was hoping the oil would help there. Thank you.
We recommend using it only once a week on your actual locs but you can use it on your scalp daily!!! If you want something you can use more frequently try our Refreshening Spray!

Question here. The last time I used my refreshing spray (lavender sky scent is beyond heavenly btw) I think I may have used either too much or not correctly. I have synthetics that are banded to my hair and after using the refreshing spray the bands slipped really badly. I haven’t used it since as I was hoping to have some dumbed down tips on how to make sure I’m not misusing it like I did before. I tried to aim for my roots/scalp as my scalp was becoming itchy from having the synthetics freshly installed. I also have sleep apnea so I’ve had to figure out how to have my hair lay to make sure my mask doesn’t pull on my hair as well and to make sure it’s not too tight. I am not one week into my third installation, so I’m still new to making sure I’m taking care of my hair/scalp/dreadlocks, so any tips or advice on how to use your products properly as a newcomer would be much appreciated :)). Looking forward to using more of your products. I just got the tightening spray, and love the shampoo bar!
Hi Casey! Glad you love the Lavender Sky! The Refreshening Spray is lightly conditioning, using oils that mimc the scalps own sebaceous oil. There are many factors to this... if too much product was applied to the scalp area, if the elastic weren't tight enough, if the product was still wet and tension was applied. However I would not be discouraged. Try with less product near the scalp (or refrigerate - this amplifies the products cooling effect), make certain the attachment is well secure and let they product dry before tension is applied to the hair. Using these protocols you should be just fine. Hope this helps! Enjoy!!

I buy a lot of your products and would like to pop into your shop for maintenance and maybe extensions but the website does not have this information. I understand it’s hard to give an exact price because something like backcombing 6” of hair will cost less than backcombing say 24” of hair but it would kind of be nice to have a ball park idea going into it.
