You will need a flex fountain pen to do styles other than monoline calligraphy. Most fountain pens are not flexible. I have another video about flex pens

What kind of pen/tool are you using? The nib should be flexible. Often fountain pens do not flex and cannot write like this.

bro love ur video love ur voice love your way of teaching ! all grade a ! my only erk is the ANGLEs u take ur videos or the POV u no ! like straight down from like your POV would be best, its angled and then uve even angled the paper again , :./ i was thinking about how i coul dmanipulate the video to do what i wanted i gave up hahah :p

Hi Natalie, It is all about your ink and your paper. Pilot parallel default inks can be quite bleedy and it is better to have higher quality paper. Please see my write up over at my page here: calligrascape.com/calligraphy-tools/#blackletter

Correct. Especially to start. WHen having a pen angle is more natural you can adjust the paper a bit for ergonomics
