Ah, yes. I remember as a kid, 50+ years ago, riding bikes thru the neighborhood after dark. We came upon a fresh car accident on a curved street. A kid had crashed his car onto a local doctor's front lawn. Foreman Scotty was trying to calm the doctor down so he wouldn't wring the kid's neck. Evidently, Mr Powell was a neighbor across the street from the doc. I think that I was on Foreman Scotty's show a couple of times, as I lived down the street from Danny Williams (Xavier T. Willard on the show) when I was really young, and was friends with Danny's twin girls, so I had an "in."

Oliver was in the news department when I came to work at WKY-TV as a studio camera person (only woman in a department full of men) in late 1972. He was always a gentleman, a true professional, always congenial, would answer any question you had and help you out in any way he could. I never saw him lose his temper or raise his voice, He was top notch in my books.

I worked with Bill and that whole crew from 72 to late 74 as a studio camera operator and remember so many of those experiences he talked about. That was an outstanding and unique experience and people who were at the top of their game at that time in this television market. The most fun job I ever had and great people to work with.

They both had a great sense of humor and when Bob Berry did the sport's on the 10:00pm news at night he do like the collage football game pick's with Linda and sometimes it was funny and silly but it was just fun to watch them pick who would win there games over the weekend. I was a big time OU fan back in the day when OU did the wishbone offense and when ever OU got a touchdown when I had the game on in my car Bob Berry Sr. would say in a load voice "Touch Down Oklahoma" and to this day I am and will alway's be a "OU FAN" here in Fargo,ND may they both REST IN PACE and god be with you til we meet again.
