Hey! I'm Darran, I've been living on the road full-time in a motorhome since April 2017. I started off in a 2004 Fiat based Swift Sundance and have recently upgraded to a 2008 Renault based Burstner Delfin. It has the layout I was looking for, the space and most importantly, the payload!
I've learn loads since going full-time time and want to share the good, the bad and the ugly, as well as some hints and tips along the way to help anyone out there thinking of doing the same.

Used to be a fabulous camp site 20 years ago when the majority of people there were walkers and cyclists with tents, a small number of car campers and the very very occasional caravan or campervan. We were there again with our tent in June 20204 and the views were destroyed by the sheer number of campervans. Thankfully we moved away and by the way now at least 3 more sites on Orkney where there are fewer peiple and vastly more tranquility.

we used to go to the new forest in our caravan from west Sussex love it there we stayed at Hollands wood Lyndhurst and sway Setthorns and a farm site in fordingbridge and stayed in a static caravan at sandy balls think they take motorhomes maybe wrong as its all changed since 2007 but when we were in the new forest our family who lived in Southampton would come and see us we have a big BBQ loads of ponies would come over good memories
if you care that much you should have checked beforehand

Daz, being keto is a real drag for a foodie, I have always said to my doctor that if I wasn't allowed to have veggies but was allowed rice, pasta, potatoes, bread and pastries, I would be the best patient ever and would no longer be diabetic. Even my hubby was also diabetic and his idea of a salad was meat, pork pies, hard boiled eggs, potato salad, coleslaw, crisps and not a hint of green leafy salad anywhere. It is really hard and I fight my inner food demons constantly. You cannot be a saint all the time, the occasional lapse is ok, don't beat yourself up x
I'm seriously looking for a motor home or campervan with warranty. My max budget is 20K. Something for me and my partner and something we can use for weeks away. We don't have too many clothes. But we want a bathroom and toilet, a fridge and something we can use off grid and not too large to go up hilly roads in Europe etc. Do you have any advice? And will your oaktree people be able to help? Thank you.❤

A fantastic campsite up near John O Groats is called Ferry View, the lady that owns the site is really friendly and cooks a great breakfast and delivers the food to your van.

Don’t share the what three words or locations of these parks ups. So many clowns these days who park up get the deck chairs and wine out at these places ruining it for everyone else who respects the spots. Great video tho!
Agreed, it's quite possibly private property too.

Your first stopover after the ferry was at Loch Eriboll and the island in it was used during WWII for bombing practice in preparation for the RAF to bomb the Tirpitz battleship.
I hope he had the landowner's permission to stay overnight there, also hope that his vehicle insurance covers him for being off road.
We are thinking of doing the 500 in our motorhome.Are you doing the complete journey,as I’ve heard a lot of it is single track roads with passing places.And not advisable to do in a large motorhome.And to do it properly it takes about a week with all the sites to see.
