  The Chernobyl nuclear disaster is a mystification. Its scale was significantly smaller than the world media reported. Even in the vicinity of Kiev, there was no reported increased incidence of cancer and diseases associated with exposure to elevated radiation. You may remember the story about the "red forest" near Chernobyl - today we already know that it was a fake. It was made to hit the nuclear power industry as the source of the cheapest energy man can produce.

  Bref 12 minutes pour dire que les Informations étaient trop parcellaires pour être en capacité de prendre les décisions les plus judicieuses. J'espère que lorsque cette situation se reproduira des corrections dans la méthodologie ont été prises. La dissipation radioactive ne se fait pas sous forme de cercles mais plus comme des doigts avec des concentrations inégales. Peut-être utile de créer entre tous les auteurs mondiaux une task force équipée de drônes de mesures en capacité de cartographier précisément la répartition des radios éléments et les vitesses de progression. Dévelopoer des applications de communication avec une cartographie transmettant les données et les risques. Où en est on en 2024 ?

  How could you spray water on the nuclear fuel that is already in a molten state at aprox. 2800 C and not have an increase in pressure? That water will instantly flash to steam and then separate the molecules. I am also surprised that there wasn't a steam explosion. I must be missing something.

  This video shows that had it not been for a design flaw with the generators (something TEPCO knew as far back as 1990) the power plant would have been able to keep operating even after an insane earthquake and tsunami.

  Les pauvres ils s' en sont pris plein la figure, les merdes s' enchainant les unes après les autre... Les systèmes de secours je les aurais plutôt vu au loin derrière plus à l' abris, dans des enceintes fermées et étanches, enfin. Merci pour la vidéo, qui m' as permis aussi de mieux cerner le principe des centrales.

  Well i can come with additional Advice on future plants due to cooling problems but it may be expensive. But it is safer 🤷‍♂️ why this was allowed so simple and without dubble or 10 times the safety 🧐?

  Absolutely. Nuclear is still the best option. So there's been a handful of issues globally. But what we learned from it cns be avoided.

  Whatever mainstream tells you, it's best to question it. Nuclear is the cleanest and safest form of energy we have available until fusion reactors are a viable option.

  I was there. Onboard the USS George Washington. We pulled out, deconed, and started hauling food, blankets, PPE, and Medical Supplies to another carrier who took them and distributed them where necessary. Then we went underway again for what seemed like forever, with no idea how long we were going to be out there. Wound up staying out for 79 days after a quick stop in Sasabo.

  J'ai encore un pot de peinture undark, vraiment très radioactif, j'en ai utilisé il y a une dizaine d'années, sans toucher le pinceau avec ma langue évidemment, j'ai peint deux plaques de verre que j'ai collé et enveloppé dans une épaisse couche de résine epoxy transparente, le rayonnement passe moins, mais ça brille littéralement dans le noir c'est fascinant et dangereux à la fois.
