How do you find the stability of the Yamaha Ex Deluxe while fishing?
Prefectly fine. Obviously not as stable as a Fishpro or FX, but it serves me well

Hey man if you can get back to me that'd be awesome. I have a 2022 Ex myself and am dying to install a cooler in the back. Just had one question, what did you do with the water house that plows up from the back, dealer told me that can't be removed on Ex. Do you just place the cooler right on top of it?

Hi @Pete Livin' Large - did you have to apply for permission to fly at the falls? I have been wanting to fly this location for quite some time, but the DOC web site's wording is confusing over whether or not you _should_ apply for permission to fly here (I don't know whether they mean that you're unlikely to get permission, so don't bother, or "you don't really need to get specific permission to fly there", confusing. Secondly, did you fly from the car park? Cheers! Love the 'over the egde' shot.

Thank you. I use the DJI Air 2s. Its not ideal for the jet ski, so I might be looking at a dji mini 3 for when we're out on the water. A bit more compact than the Air 2s

Thanks man......I usually launch at the Kereta Bay boat ramp. It's about 30 minutes past Thames. It's an all tide ramp and it's right on the mussel farms

Can you fish ok on the EX Deluxe? How stable is it?
It's not as stable as a yamaha fx or fish pro, but I fish perfectly fine on my Ex. I've fished off Waihi Beach, Firth of Thames, Raglan and around Hauraki Gulf with no problems. Considering I'm also 6'3 tall, I manage perfectly.
@@petelivinlarge what sort of conditions you fished? Have you fallen off it like your kids? lol I'm 5'11 but 120kg considering a Jetski. Think the EX Deluxe would be suitable for all weather fishing?
@@aidanhill I've fished in some very windy choppy conditions and it was ok. Didn't sit side on, but sat facing either backwards or forwards when it gets real choppy, just for the balance. But i would probably do the same on an FX or Fishpro to be honest. In decent conditions, i sit side on no problems

Great video and love the scenery! How did it go with balancing on the EX with fishing bin on the back out on the Wild West? Would you mind doing tutorials on 1) how to assemble/“make” your fishing bin, and 2) how to install/“fix” the fishfinder?

Hallo Peter. Awesome video - how did the custom fishing box work for you? Balancing ok when drift fishing in rougher water? Anything you would do differently with the box and it’s attachments if you got a second chance doing it again - any lessons learnt to share with me? Thanks, Pieter
Hi Pieter. Thank you for the compliment. I found the box worked perfectly fine for me. Its a make shift set up, but it was pretty stable and worked exactly as I hoped it would. I won't be putting any kingfish in there because of the size but it will definitely hold a few snapper, Trevally etc
